Battier not a good stat guy??? I will give you that his roll is a bit more up in the air now that Artest is there and Scola is more comfortable--that said, however, he is still an integral part of this team and someone Adelman wants on the floor a lot. He gets his points off of spot-up 3s, something that Houston needs right now so I woudn't expect any dramatic drop-off in production from him.
He is an under-the-radar type of fantasy option who can significantly help teams. He won't help you win Points, but 5reb, 1st, 1blk, 2 3ptm, and low turnovers (plus FG/FT% neutral since he shoots so little) will help you. Last year I beat a far superior fantasy team in the finals by letting him take points rebounds and assists but beating him in percentages steals blocks and 3ptm.
If you're in a 12-team league Battier should be on someone's team when he's healthy.
