Default JR Smith

What about him?

Maybe AP and a first rounder.

Or JK and a second rounder?

His salary is not that crazy.

Wing talent is wing talent. If the Nuggets aren't going to use him, why the fugg not?

Atleast Mitchel will actually play him.

I know about his offensive skillset, but what about his defense.

Pretty hard to trade for him because he's a Base Year Compensation Player (recently signed contract). Big reason there haven't been many JR Smith rumours despite his situation with Karl. However, I haven't a clue when that wears off so perhaps he'll be more available later.

it would take bargnani to get him- denver wont give him away just because of this years coach-why not bargnani & kapono to denver for cap relief & 3 1sts- if you trade bargnani it cant be for a player, needs to be picks & capspace

No it would not take Bargnani to get Smith.

And no if we trade bargnani it has to be for a player because we are thin on the bench and we only have 4 bigs so we would be even thinner there.

I'm sorry but NO! J.R. Smith is a slightly more athletic/10 years younger version of Anthony Parker. In my opinion, he's not that much of an upgrade, especially if we throw in a first rounder with AP, I agree, that's possibly the only way we could land him, but that no reason to make the deal. As for Jason Kapono and a 2nd rounder, I'd rather drop Kapono's salary in 2010 (does he have an option?) and have the cap room to re-sign Bosh, Bargnani (to a cheaper deal), Humphries and more importantly an all-starish wing player.

im sorry for the constant "i want bargnani on the nuggets" (i really think he would be GREAT in between melo & nene w jr smith)- i believe 3 1sts would be a very good deal for denver

maybe its just the nugs fan in me, but jr smith is much more valuble than you are giving him credit for- parker from another teams view is just an expiring contract so parker and a pick is really just jr for a 16-20 pick? cant see that as even close

cant wait for tonights game- hope bargnani doesnt beat us

While I don't necessarily agree with that but if it were true then why not? That's exactly the type of player I'd want on the Raptors.

Parker is done after this season and Smith would be a nice option at SG for the next couple years.
