Dragon Ball Z - Worth getting season 2?

I recently came across the first season of Dragon Ball Z on DVD. I've never seen an episode before, nor have i ever wanted to, but my cousin recommended that I check it out, so I did. Man was I impressed. The storylines, the buildup, everything was just awesome. Unexplicably, the last disc starts the second saga and I'm debating whether or not I want to get season 2. For any DBZ fans, is the second season as good as the first, or does the story start to fall off? Basically, I'm looking for a recommendation whether or not to drop $30 each on the next few seasons.

Frieza Saga is the best. Goes kind of downhill after that.

DBZ is kind of fun and nostalgic, reminds me of when I was a kid. I could recommend some much better anime if you're interested.

DB is a great, great anime/manga; well written, well drawn and well combined of action, comedy and adventure elements.

DBZ is a good action anime/manga. Pretty overrated IMO.

DBGT is a crap nicely wrapped in a box.

Dragonball Z was good all the way up to the Cell saga.

After that there was a huge drop off.

Get the books, they`re even better.
And read DB first, that`s the best part of the saga.

Meh. Really good plot, bad fighting plans... If the fighting wasn't more talking than action, this would be a GOAT manga/anime. As it stands, I know many shows/comics that are a lot better.

i was into that show for a while at one point but I got tired of absolutley nothing happening for the bulk of an episode with maybe like 2 minutes of actual new story with the rest being a bunch of "HUH???" "WHA???" "OHH!!!" and recaps of the last few episodes.

its addicting though. ill give you that

i did love the Hercule-Buu stuff though. i thought that was pretty funny with how worthless Hercule is.

That's really annoying. A lot of anime are like that.

You'll want to go through at least Frieza, then probably Cell. After that I still love it, but the episodes get very drawn out with not much happening in the Majin Bu storyline.

Do yourself a favor and pretend to show ends after CELL. Seriously, pretend it ends. It really goes from a 4 star show to 1/2 star in a single transition.

In my opinion, the build of the Androids (pre-cell) were the best episodes after Saiyan saga.

Anyway, if by season two, you mean post-raditz. YES it's worth it.
