My fantasy draft is coming up and I've got Emeka on my radar. Does anybody know what kind of condition he is in? Is he ready to go at 100% at the begining of the season after that last year's injury? I know that he was at the UCONN alumni game recently, but I don't think he really played. I live in the West and don't get any kind of news about Charlotte players, other than Morrison. Anybody have an inside line?
Honestly, because he didn't play in the summer league, I don't think he'll have another season like last year. He's had back problems which have supposedly gone away, the ankle problems, I just don't see him playing the whole year
Okafor appears healthy at the beginning of each season. Honestly I think the only way to keep him healthy is for him to not play. (Gerald Wallace/Mr. Flying through the air with the greatest of ease--Okafor is not). And I wonder how many more seasons we can carry a 'potential' star-player who, due to injuries, remains 'potential' rather than actual. Wouldn't it be exciting if Emeka lives up to even half the hype created over him.............

He's had one bad year give the man a break. And he's come back in the much better shape, dropping those 20 extra pounds that he added last off-season. I'm expecting big things this year from Meka.

well i think he helped fuel that hype himself averaging 20/10 as a rookie.

Well you're right in that his demonstrated abilities have let to much of the excitement about him. That's legitimate. I used 'hype' because I'm feeling skeptical about his being able to perform at that high level consistently over the new season. I'm not a cynic, though. I have an open-mind about his performance as well as the other Cats.
yeah i know what you mean. its really dissapointing to see glimpses of absolute greatness in players like stoudamire and okafor only to be stunted by injuries.
