Default Has a top 5 team committed to Shelden Williams?

Quote:
"Sources said that (Shelden) Williams has pulled out of scheduled workouts with teams in the second half of the top 10 - including Minnesota, which picks sixth - indicating that a team in the top five has made a commitment to Williams that it will take him." Philadelphia Inquirer

Is it Atlanta ? I wouldnt be surprised if its Atlanta .

I believe it is Atlanta.

But why would they be morons for drafting a power forward (which they sorely need)?

he's a fool to do that. what happens if whatever team he thinks wants him pulls a trade with the draft pick? he'll be SOL and on his way down the list.

Atlanta drafting Williams wouldn't be moronic at all. They need a post presence, and he's one of the best available. Thomas is a toothpick. Baloney is an unknown with a girl's first name. I'd take Williams over either of them. Nothing has sold me on Thomas or Bargnani.

First off, sheldon is a moron for doing what he is allegedly doing. Secondly, of the top 5, Atlanta is the stupidest and most likely to draft sheldon. I heard something awhile ago about them drafting him.

It's already been well established that Tips is the moron.

Shelden Williams will not slip out of the top 10 under any circumstances.

I'll stake my life on it.

That'd be a sick lineup though

Johnson
Childress
Smith
Williams

Keep in mind that he's already worked out for:

#7 - Boston
#8 - Houston
#9 - Golden State
#10 - Seattle
#12 - New Orleans
#14 - Utah
#15 - New Orleans

Minnesota (Griffin/Garnett/Blount), Orlando (Howard/Milicic), and Philly (Webber/Daly) are the only lotto teams after the Hawks that he would be "snubbing."

Shelden hasn't even worked out for the Hawks yet so I seriously doubt they would give him a guarantee.

It's not stupid. No matter what he's already a lotto pick. So even if the team that garunteed him a pick ends up trading it, he'll still get picked up.
