Default Let's see if we can come up with some trade ideas...

Trade: Andrea Bargnani and Joey Graham
Receive: Stephen Jackson and Marco Belinelli

GSW clears their backcourt logjam and receives a Don Nelson like player in return. Raps get their wing help and a backup PG that is alot more capable than what we have currently.

Calderon | Belinelli
SJax | Paker
Moon | Kapono
Bosh | Humphries
JO | Jake

Trade: Andrea Bargnani and Joey Graham
Receive: Gerald Wallace

CHA has been trying to trade GWall for years. Their front court gets bigger with Bargs moving into PF, Diaw playing SF and Okafor at C. Joey has shown improvement this year. Raps get GWall who is a defensive wing that can drive to the basket which is what we desperately need.

Calderon | Ukic
Parker | Kapono
GWall | Moon
Bosh | Humphries
JO | Jake

This current team is pissing me off. Thoughts? Any other ideas?

Stephen Jackson sucks. I wouldn't want him on the Raptors at all.

I do however want to raid the Warriors young talent (Wright or Randolph) since it seems like they might not even be too hard to get. It seems like GS just wants to rid itself of Maggette's contract so by taking that on, you can ask for more in return.

Bargnani
Parker
Graham
Lottery protected 1st rounder

for

Maggette
Wright
Belinelli

- Raptors get their starter at SF in Maggette. Also a younger replacement at SG for Parker who hopefully doesn't suck. I like the fact that Belinelli can actually take more than 1 dribble.

- Wright > Bargnani to 99% of the NBA but that other 1% is only Bryan Colangelo and Don Nelson. This would be the steal part for the Raptors.

- GS clears up some cap room. Parker + Graham = $7 million off the books after this season. They could use the extra cap room and roster space to play Ellis, Crawford and Jackson. Plus they get a pick to play with.

Didn't he just get an extension that'll last until he's around 36 too? Yea, I'll pass.

And I still think that if the Raptors offer that same trade but substitute Belinelli for one of their scrubs like Marcus Williams, they pull the trigger and the Raptors land Maggette and Wright. I just don't quite buy that they're that desperate to rid themselves of Maggette that Toronto gets two legit young talents out of the deal.

i want to get my hands on Belineli.

Word is he ha been scoring 15+ pts for the past 6-7 games. While putting up stats in the reb and ast category. Get him while he is developing.

I like the trade Q, getting rid of Parker is a good idea, he is really aging

Theres talk that Don Nelson has asked Randolphs agent to look for a trade.

I like that kid, he's like a Lamar Odom type of player. It would be great if the Raptors could get him.

GS has a lot of talent that it might be willing to give up for Bargs. I really hope BC decides to get rid of Bargs in an exchange that includes Maggette and others. (obviously Bargnani and other pieces)

If the Raps could get Wright and Randolph for anything this side of Bosh I would be thrilled. Though Bosh might not enjoy rebuilding around young players, both are verstile scorers and defenders, and Wright would make a decent replacement for Bosh if he bails in 2010.

Bellineli I am not as sold on. He's obviously an upgrade for us, but I still see him as no more than instant offense guy off the bench on a good team.

Jackson is aging chucker with overated defense, bad contract, and long history of off court problems. No thank you.

Wallace: I've spoke about many time, the absolute cure for what ails us. Slashing, Perimeter D, rebounding, athleticism, solid character. Anyone but Bosh for him and I would not complain.

How about this:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...26&te= &cash=

(maybe add a 1st round pick if sweetening is nesscary)

Utah is looking to drop salary with Boozer and Milsap having contracts coming up, and 15 million (3 more years) is a lot for a 6th man that your coach hates.

It gives them a legit defensive presence and rebounding at the 4/5, and contract that comes off the books much sooner.

TO would have to use Bargs and Voskul at the 5, but Bargs D has been consistently good, and AK47 would help out enough on the boards (and of D) to counter balance the loss of JO. We would finally have some to put on the Lebrons/Kobes/ect, and a great secondary playmaker.

Collins could stand around occasionally in blowouts until Jawai gets up to speed.

Any deal that leaves the Raptors with either Bosh or Bargnani at C = no thank you for me.

If this trade was possible, the Raptors would end the season with this:

PG Calderon/Solomon/Ukic
SG Belinelli/Parker
SF Wallace/Wright
PF Bosh/Humphries/Wright
C O'Neal/Voskuhl

Yeah... I'm dreaming

Damn. One of the better (and at least borderline-realistic) trade proposals I've ever seen on this board. At first glance it's clearly skewed in the Raptors favor, but Charlotte does well too and Golden State, well, nothing needs to make much sense for them. Each of the three teams is really only giving up players they're not very attached to, aside from maybe Bargnani, but in a deal like that you'd hope Colangelo wouldn't hesitate.

You made my day just getting me thinking about something like this. Then you brought me down when I realized it makes way too much sense to ever happen.
