Default 2006 Denver Nuggets

Lets check out and discuss the roster and rotations for the Nuggets as of now.

PG Andre Miller, Earl Boykins
SG JR Smith, Julius Hodge
SF Carmelo Anthony, Ed Najera, Linus Kleiza
PF Kenyon Martin, Joe Smith, Reggie Evans
C Marcus Camby, Nene, J.Sampson

Looking at this, we need one more shooting guard without a doubt... whats the go with Dermarr Johnson? Also how good is signee Yakhouba Diawara? I believe Bonzi Wells would be a poor signing as he is a poor mans carmelo, and JR Smith actually fits in well as the starting 2.

Ideally we need a combo guard, just to strengthen both guard positions.
Would you change anything, or what would be that that piece to the puzzle?

My suggestion is a final trade.
I propose Camby for Marko Jaric and Eddie Griffin? Trade ID - 3372124

Now we look like this -

PG Andre Miller, Earl Boykins (Marko Jaric)
SG JR Smith, Marko Jaric, Julius Hodge
SF Carmelo Anthony, Ed Najera, Linus Kleiza
PF Kenyon Martin, Eddie Griffin, Reggie Evans
C Nene, Joe Smith, J.Sampson

Camby is excellent, yet often injured. I feel the team is now very well rounded

Its a classic of losing a bit to gain.
Jaric was disapointing last year, but he can really play - especially in a combo role on this squad.

Yea Nene has a lot of potential lol. I wish my team Chicago could have gotten him so he could be our post-player.

PG-Kirk Hinrich/Chris Duhon
SG-Ben Gordon/Thabo Sefolosha/Adrian Griffin
SF-Luol Deng/Andres Nocioni/Viktor Khryapa
PF-Nene/Tyrus Thomas/Luol Deng
C-Ben Wallace/Nene/PJ Brown

if the Bulls traded Michael Sweetney, Malik Allen, Martynas Andriuskevicius, and all our 4 2007 PICKS (including the first rounder from the Knicks) for Nene would yall do it if it was possible?

Denvers New Roster

PG-Andre Miller/Earl Boykins
SG-( )/Jr Smith/Julius Hodge
SF-Carmelo Anthony/Linas Klieza/Eduardo Najera
PF-K-Mart/Michael Sweetney/Reggie Evans
C-Marcus Camby/Michael Sweetney/Malik Allen

Now yall got rid of a 60 million that would be coming off the bench. And now yall have 2 first rounders along with some second rounders.

AMEN NO MORE BIG MEN!!! there aren't enough minutes for all them right now! It would make no sense to add more. Especailly if they can't score!

Those 2007 picks would be great I'd do that in a heart beat yall know the
knicks are still a bad team. It will still be a possibilty we will get 1 - 10 pick
which means Greg Oden or Kevin Durant will be available. Think about the for a second. Then the lineup might look like this:

C - Marcus Camby
PF - Greg Oden
SF - Carmelo Anthony
SG - J.R. SMith
PG - Andre Miller

OR

C - Marcus Camby
PF - Kenyon Martin
SF - Carmelo Anthony
SG - Kevin Durant
PG - Andre Miller

Personally, I would take Greg Oden because we can always trade for a shooter considering all the bigs we have some one will want them. Like I said in the other thread we could trade some of those bigs for Wally Szczerbiak.!!!

KMart and Camby give the team one of the best defensive front courts in the NBA, there isnt any need to screw that up. Miller and Watson are a good duo for the PG position, but you need another duo guard that can take some minutes off defensively inept Earl Watson.

I agree with your comments on camby and k-mart.

I doubt Watson will get any minutes for the Nugz this year though so we need not worry about him. (got traded to the sonics during the season )

Basically, if the Nuggets get healthy and find a way to satisfy the big Ego's that lie within the roster, they would be a really intimidating.

What team would want to play against this starting 5:

Camby - Is basically the best Center in the league when healthy
Kenyon - Explosive, and quick for a PF, wears his heart on his sleeve
Carmelo - Superstar, could potentially win a scoring title in the next few years
J.R. Smith - Potential All-Star, the shooter that will make life easier for melo
Andre - A solid PG with experience behind him. Great at finding a pass to the big men

Then you have a bench that has to demand respect with the likes of Nene (could be a starter on most teams), Evans (hustles boards and D), Boykins (energy), joe smith, kleiza, Hodge.

i mean, this team has more talent than basically every team in the NBA, it just needs to find a way to capitalize on it.
