Default Does everyone realize now why Iverson wasn't starting in Memphis?

Not hating, just saying that it's clear that he's not in shape and he's not even over being hurt yet. In Memphis he didn't have a training camp either. Right now he's a shadow of his former self. Doesn't mean he's washed up, just means he's got a long way to go this season. To think, everyone on here pissin and moaning about him not getting respect and having to come off the bench. Well he's starting now and looks pretty rough.

He is in Philly now and you need to move on as well. these recycled AI threads are becoming annoying.

Iverson's only played 6 games but in those 6 games this is how he matches up with Conley.

13\2\4 on 44%\64%\100% shooting.
9\2\5\1 on 41%\81%\34%

Both in 28 minutes per game. Both around the same turnovers. As you can see even A.I playing rusty compares to Mike Conley.

He is right though. All those fools who defended his cry baby actions need to man up and admit AI had ZERO reasons to be crying for PT when he wasn't ready.

And even if rusty Iverson is putting up Conley like stats that means very little. He should have been smart enough going in to know Memphis is more tied to Conley developing than him.

I'll be the first to admit I expected more out of A.I and was wrong. But nobody really knows what happened between Memphis and A.I before he signed with them. He could have got promised playing time among other things.

Also he did sit out for abit after the whole retirement thing\getting waived so he could have been in better game shape with Memphis then at the moment with Philly.

According to Hollins he was told that he would have a chance to compete for the starting job but that he would be worked in however he could work him in. Iverson was hurt and missed training camp and was obviously out of shape and not 100% so he didn't start him. AI was just being a baby. Magically his "personal problems" seem to have cleared up.

Regardless of all of the "out of shape" bs excuses you guys want to throw around, he got 20 points on 18 shots?

That's not great by any stretch of the imagination and is very close to what he did in his prime IIRC?

If he get 20 on 15, or 20 on 12 I'd be impressed, but it's not like we're comparing night and day here. You make it sound like "conditioned" AI is going to set the court on fire.

Are you kidding me? I tried a million times to explain that he was out of shape and missed camp, and over and over everyone was apologizing for him and saying that he was being "disrespected" and all of this BS. There were so many apologists in that thread it was laughable.
