Raptors fans: are you finally ready to be realistic about "J-Killa?"
"Just give him more shots" they said... "You guys are being too hasty, wait to see what he can do under Jay Triano's system".... and so on and so on... Jason Kapono could be an effective role player on a contender like he was for Miami in 06-07: 10.9ppg, 49.4%fg, 51.4%3pt, 2.3rpg, 1.2apg, 0.6spg.... This season with his starter role he's averaging 8.2ppg on 43.4fg%, 44.9%3pt, 2.2rpg, 1.8apg, 0.3spg... His percentages have dipped, and although they could still be worse, some of his shots have looked just plain ugly.. And a large contributing factor to that is having to create his own shot.. Sure he's made a few nice little runners in the lane but for the most part he's a catch and shoot guy. Forcing him to try and create + guard the opposing teams starting SF = PROBLEMS. Maybe on a different team he could be a legit starter if they were a strong enough team to mask those weaknesses but not on our team... Starting Kapono and Moon together is simply unacceptable, and one or both need to go along with Bargnani to give us a fighting chance.. And it's not hating, it's just being realistic.

A very limited player regardless of who is coaching him. Like you said, the Raptors increased his role and he's played worse. He shouldn't be getting anything more than 10 minutes per game on this team.
First chance the Raptors get to dump his contract, they need to take advantage of it.
Re: Raptors fans: are you finally ready to be realistic about "J-Killa?"
let's face it, Kapono's contract has always prevented us from obtaining at least one other solid player, making 6 million a year, when he should be getting 1.5 million.
with that extra 4.5 a year we could have gotten another player or would be able to move more freely in trade talks.

Shaq = tons of open shots for teammates on the perimeter.
The thing is, with Bosh and O'neal we also have the opportunity to kick it out for the perimeter player to take open shots. And they make them when they are wide open. However when someone rotates to the perimeter and puts a hand in their faces they don't have the ability to take it to the basket or do any sort of moves to get open on their own.

Both are neither traditional low post players as well. Add in O'Neal's spells of being a blackhole and Bosh doesn't pass much once he drives as well.

Bosh is actually an underrated passer with his back to the basket.. The only time he doesn't look to pass is when he faces up and looks to take it to the basket, which usually ends with something positive, either a foul or a layup/sunk. O'neal isn't really a great passer but he's more of a back to the basket player than Bosh and when he's aggressive it opens up the floor for our shooters to hit open shots. No, they aren't as good of passers on the block as Shaq but they're not terrible either.

"The Nuggets also have had talks with the Raptors, who want to shake things up. But earlier this month, when the Raptors offered Jason Kapono for J.R. Smith, the Nuggets quickly turned it down."

Don't say BC isn't trying to improve with the resources at his disposal. That's one of his strengths, correcting his mistakes.
Always looking to improve.
It boggles my mind that some dumbass Raptor fans actually want him fired.
I don't want him fired, I just want him to take some action. JK for JR Smith? That's like something i'd expect to be offered on my fantasy team, not a real life offer. Who in their right mind would do that? AP MIGHT be the only person who he could trade for a better wing player straight up just because of his contract being expiring. Other than that, whatever goes down MUST involve Bargnani in order to get the other team to accept.
