@ that trade offer. If anything of that sort happens I will happily throw a party for all the ishers!

Even though J.R. Smith is far from a creator for others, and he isn't really great at consistently going to the rim. His streaky shooting and just his "youth" would make this trade an instant steal...

It's called being a slick GM 101.

You try to snow the guy on the other end of the line whenever you can. Never hurts to try.

History has shown there's always a McHale or Isiah lurking somewhere.

Or sometimes it's just eye of the beholder thing. Maybe the Nuggs thinks J-Killa is the greatest shooter since Bird.

We were offered Gerald Wallace and Al Harrington that we know of... And I posted a link earlier that said something like "Bargnani is the guy that all the teams are inquiring about" so clearly he has value and teams want him. BC is just unwilling to let his ass go and admit it was a mistake drafting him 1st.

November, it's not like the interest suddenly died in one month. He's still the same disappointment now that he was then.

edit: here's part of what it said:
Quote:
The real sticking point is that the player who clubs ask about is inevitably Bargnani, whom Colangelo remains bullish on and who is showing signs of putting last season's sophomore pratfall behind him.

But one might guess that Colangelo's belief in the former No. 1 draft pick's long-term potential doesn't match Mitchell's win-now urgency.

Exactly correct...there' was one specific play where a guy came of a back screen and Bargnani followed him all the way out to the three line even though he was already covered by Parker leading to a layup inside....He is so immensly bad it's unbelieveable....same with Kapono. I thought this guy with more mins could raise his production and give us a second/third threat. If this guy isn't scoring he is absolutely useless. Time to pull hte plug on Bargz and the wings and get some guys who can play.

Some thoughts on guys who could come cheap and fill holes:

Von Wafer - pure scorer and good athleticsim and energy decent defence

Belinelli- Finally getting mins and averaging over 15 PPG and getting better game to game.

John Salmons - Did a number on us the other night can do a little of everything too bad he doesn't want to play here.

Just a few.

Yup ...... if there shot's are falling they do NOTHING ......

Most wing players if there shot aren't falling they CAN CREATE FOR OTHERS!, Kapono would be great if we was off the bench and if his shot wasn't falling he could just get sub out for the starter

This is from Doug Smith's blog:
Quote:
If Bryan’s got a deal that’s close, he has to make it now. Like today, or tomorrow. With three games at home and practices time Thursday and Saturday, it’s a good opportunity to get a new guy or two when there’s at least a little bit of time to get acclimated.

Now, I have no knowledge that anything’s that close but if these guys get nine or 10 games below .500, and that possibility exists, the season’s effectively over so waiting until then makes no sense.

Yea man .... like honestly going into this season we got our " Jermaine O'Neil " and were suppose to be contenders or at least make some noise in the eastern conference, now were barley in the playoff hunt. Its embarrassing and shows the lack of experience that the Raptors organize has, last year we were RAISING UP AND GOT OUT CENTER WE NEEDED ..... now were falling down and management ISN'T DOING NOTHING ABOUT IT. I'm guessing losing is just fine with Bryan Colangelo or else he would be make some moves to at least try and make us better ...... HE SAYS HE DOESN'T WANT TO MAKE ANY SUDDEN MOVES TO AFFECT THE FUTURE ...... WE HAVE NO FUTURE, IT'S WIN NOW OR NEVER, WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE DAMN LEAGUE COMMON!

I'm sorry to say but I'm a Raptor fan who thinks the season is pretty much done.

It's not impossible but highly improbable that they will make the playoffs this year.

A 4-2, maybe a 3-3 road trip provides hope. Anything less was NOT GOOD.

It's sad to see that they couldn't even beat a Warriors team without Maggette & Ellis.

It's time BC look to trade for players (or create cap room), not necessarily to help them this year, but more importantly next season where if the Raptors falter again you can pretty much kiss CB4's butt goodbye.

But Bosh is our only future ...... unless u want to put the Toronto Raptors into the hands of Andrea Bargnani and hope he becomes a Superstar in the next couple years ........

and that's the sad part... Some people are saying that Bargnani is an insurance plan so that if Bosh leaves we have him to lead us in Bosh's absence. My thoughts are that it is a RIDICULOUS notion unless we are hoping to get a superstar talent through the FA market in 2010, but who would really want to come to a garbage team with Bargnani as our #1 option...

Raps desperately need to pull the trigger on a trade.

One scenario I would welcome is a deal involving charlotte and T.O

T.O - JO+AP+JOEY
Bobcats- G-wall+Diaw+Bell

This deal couldn't happen until Feb 10 when Diaw and Bell can be traded. This might be too long for BC to wait tho.
