Default Syracuse's Onuaku

I think there could be spot for this guy in the league. I think he can be better then Tryus Thomas and that guy was top 10 pick. Cant do much except Bang down low, finish around the hoop and grab some rebounds.

He really isn't like Thomas at all. Thomas is like 6-11 and an athletic freak. I've never really watched Onuaku closely, but he is a big guy that is undersized for the NBA. I would say Glen Davis or someone like that is more accurate.

Tyrus Thomas is closer to 6-7 then then 6-11. But this fool Arinze is gifted he just doesnt have that much touch.

http://www.82games.com/trueheight.htm measured under 6-8

As crazy as this might sound, I would rather have Onuaku (who is a 2nd rounder at best) than Jordan Hill (who is a possible lottery pick). Onuaku's left hand around the bucket is what really impresses me.

Jordan Hill just looks like he's going to trip over his own feet on every post move. The only thing I give him the advantage in is shot blocking/athleticism. Onuaku's toughness will be welcomed on an NBA team. Onuaku leads the nation in field goal % at 70.1%. Just for comparison, Hill plays 6 mins more per game also.

Yeaa that does sound crazy. Offensively Hill is far more advanced. He has soft touch around the hoop and a better jumper but really those are the only things that I think he does better. I think Onuaku has more explosion

Hill is going to set a record for travel calls via a post move. Onuaku I like because he does what he's supposed to do, and plays his role. He rebounds, plays tough post D, and is a bully. Hill will turn out like that other Arizona center, Channing Frye. High pick, low potential.
