Default Anthony Parker's Offense

He goes for 20+ today, he has the ability to score 20+ on any night with his amazing shooting skills and driving ....... Raptors should run more plays for him and allow him to get more shots because he was a 15PPG+ scorer in the Euro League ......

He has the ability to score more, plus his defense is good as well

His defense has stunk this year. He doesn't have the legs to play 30+ minutes for 82 games.

This game for Parker was simply him coming out of a slump. He's a great shooter who was only shooting 39% before this game. He'll be going back up closer to his career norms. But in the end, he's just a jump shooter who can't effectively create anything for himself.

He's a player I'd love to have to play 25 minutes per game or so all-out. But with the Raptors awful wing situation, he is relied on for far more than he is able to provide.

That's what im saying, he is ALL we have ...... Qwyjibo if you say his Defense has stunk this year, why not have Anthony Parker become more of a scorer for the team than his defense since you are saying it has stunk this year .....

Because he has no choice but to be a key defensive player here. He has been a weak defensive player this year and yet he's still probably the best option on the Raptors in that regard. That's how bad the talent is.

roko was getting parker in open spaces
he had 4 dunks on that back screen play
the raptors offense in general was flowing and the use of those down/back screens were key
he got the bulk of the shots because this offense actually WORKED against Orlando
because of his confidence using screens to get a shot and joey/jamario's lack of ability to do what was working is why he got big minutes and touches and he produced

The communication between Roko and Parker was key in the final 2 quarters, which led to some nice backdoor passes and easy dunks for Parker. The team in general needs to communicate more both on offense and defense. As far as I'm concerned, Parker is probably the most offensively gifted player on the Raptors squad next to O'Neal. Parker has just been underperforming in my mind so far this season, although he may be over the hill, I'm not quite sure. The following few games will indicate whether or not the prior statement is true. Bosh has been frustrating me with awkward play style and Calderon, Kapono and Bargnani are all too inconsistent. Parker's defense is definitely shaky and it sucks that he got thrown into that roll by default, but his shooting touch and veteran savvy makes him a very valuable player that I really don't want the Raptors to lose. The only way I would want to lose Parker in a trade is if BC has a chat with him and gets him to re-sign this offseason for a 3-year deal of 12M or something. But I guess him and Andrea are our only real valuable trading pieces, according to Donnie Walsh.
