Default Suns dealing with strange stretch

By the time the Suns play Indiana on Wednesday, they will have played only four games in the previous 17 days.

"It's the strangest stretch I've had in my career," Suns guard Steve Nash said.
Suns forward Amaré Stoudemire was more of a fan, saying, "Love 'em. We get a few days of practice to try to get back into the swing of things, learn from what we haven't been doing quite well and then get ready for a couple games we should win. More time at home, more time with family."

Coach Terry Porter said he would use the time to maintain the Suns' conditioning and refine weak points, like the Suns' transition defense.

"It's one of the first things we talk about," he said. "When you make a turnover, how's your floor balance? So much of that is communicating. We've been talking a lot about, during transition, who's stopping the ball and trying to find guys as quickly as possible.

"Transition 'D' is the toughest thing in this league."

Team ejection

The Suns' Matt Barnes joined Stoudemire and Richard Hamilton Friday as the only NBA players with two ejections this season. Porter said: "There's no need for Matt in that situation - we're up by 20 - to complain about a call. You've got to be smarter than that."

Yeah strange stretch indeed. I can't ever remember so many 4 day off stretches this close together. They kill us with laziness this past 2 weeks, then more than make up for it with the first 2 weeks of March.

Mar 1 - vs LA Lakers
Mar 3 - @ Orlando
Mar 4 - @ Miami
Mar 6 - @ Houston
Mar 8 - @ San Antonio
Mar 10 - vs Dallas
Mar 12 - vs Cleveland

Will be nice to see them getting back into a more consistent schedule over the next few weeks for sure though. I've been jonesin for some Suns!
