Default Chris Paul's Chances to win the MVP Award

I know Lebron is probably already a lock to win the MVP award this year. But come on, CP is averaging sick figures. I honestly feel that he also deserves to win it, he did last year as well. Just saying.

Unless the Hornet's get like the 2nd or 1st seed this year I don't think it'll happen... unless he averages something like a triple double lol.

Won't happen unless the Hornet's win the west. No question.

As long as Lebron keeps playing like he has been playing and the Cavs stay on their current pace (pretty much 60+ wins) I really don't see how anyone would have an argument over him.

It's LeBron, Kobe, CP3, and Dwight Howard.

about 1% if his team finishes behind the lakers.

lebron is far from a "lock". I do believe he is leading the pack of kobe/wade/howard/cp3 and himself in my eyes though.

He's got 20.39102% chance of winning the MVP.

The Hornets have to do extremely well, maybe even top seed in the West in order for Paul to win. Plus he'll have to average some insane stats to rival James's.

In the West, if the Hornets don't finish within 5 wins of the Lakers, then he just can't win it.

Kobe is picking up his game, the Lakers are still tearing it up.

Paul would have to have some very gaudy numbers. The same debate is being had with D-Wade. Both of their teams will need to make a strong push to be top in their conference to have strong MVP consideration.

If LAL is the top seed, then he'll be the top man in the West for MVP consideration.

Over these next 3 months, I expect all MVP candidates to pick up their game.

Look at the MVP rankings on ESPN and NBA.

Stop trying to belittle what Wade is doing this season. You ranked him as the 6th best player this season, which shows how limited your basketball knowledge is.

He has no chance unless Lebron gets injured. But he's second in my book because better stats and better record than Wade. Kobe I think will make a second half run though and finish second in the rankings.

he might be a better player, but the Heat are 6th in the East, that isn't very impressive, and not nearly good enough to get MVP consideration

I was talking about individually as a player. Not even as an MVP (where he is considered 2nd by most as well).
