I dont understand where The Hawks are heading. They seem to compile the same type of players. They have a pretty good core of young players but they are all swingmen... Long and athletic, which is awesome but I think they need a legit point guard and a big. They could find a point guard with there draft picks this year easily but I think they should trade a swingmen or two for a young big
1. Ballhandler or starting point guard.
2. Defensive center.
3. Reserve shooter.
4. Reserve perimeter defender.
Knight will never address 1 and 2, first of all he does not think PG and C are very important positions to fill, he wants interchangable guys. I don't know why on earth he does not have enough of 3 and 4 since all he has on his roster are 3's and 2's. We should have about 3 Reserve shooters and at least 2 Reserve perimeter defenders. However, Salim and Tyrone can both knock down three's.
As most of us know, the Hawks need to address two key positions
1. Center, 7-footer who can defend, rebound, intimidate peolpe and have some low-post skills...
2.PG, team-oriented, pass-first PG, who can also defend two guards...
"D" and deep bench are the keys, because Hawks already have enough talent and offensive weapons. I believe that few veterans at the right positions could get Hawks quickly back on the winning tracks and into the playoff contention...
I wouldn't mind sending you guys Calderon for Marvin or Childress. Possibly both if we could add in maybe a shooter in Kapono. Raps need a swingman that can rebound and get to the charity strip. Having Childress or Marvin would do wonders for this team.
He is what the Hawks need. Hell, I don't care if we can get a scoring PG like Keyon Dooling, I like how he attacks the rim and with authority. Just get us a point guard who can pass and is not scared to go to the rim.
Second, get rid of the managment they have. 8 owners, come on.
