Default How high should the Wizards finish in the East?

What seed do you predict the WIzards will get, based on how things look now?

What has to happen for them to do slightly better than you predict?

And what could go wrong to drop them lower?

I think they might do one seed better than they did last year with the pickup of darius songalia

yeah songaila will be a big help imo, loved him on the Kings. when healthy, I expect them to be in the middle of the pack come playoff time.

Our Wiz are stuck in no man's land at the moment. We have no chance at taking out a big dog (barring any injuries to the opposing team), but we will probably make the playoffs everytime. We can't get the draft picks to build upon, and meanwhile, Gil's prime is steadily drifting away. Eventually he'll leave, because he'll realize that the Wiz are going nowhere. It's unfortunate, but basically inevitable, unless the Wiz pull off a major trade, or Oden slips to 20th in next years draft.

EXACTLY, It's weird to say, but it wouldnt be all that bad if Jamison and Butler got injured this year

There are lots of teams that could say that for sure, just for the sake of Oden. I don't know if there will be any throwing of games or not, but it's possible. There are a load of teams that are going to be decent, but have no shot at ann upset against a big dog. Teams like the Raptors and Bucks are in this position, but the difference is that they have some solid young talent that can really improve, with guys like Bosh, CV, Ford, Bogut, and even Bargnani.

The Wiz don't have that. They are like the Sonics, or the Sixers. Teams that have a superstar, and some decent talent around them, but not enough to get to the promised land. And they don't have any young talent to devellop to get them any further. It's a shame, but unfortunately, a big injury would probably be best for these teams.

If they still can't play defense then they're going to be lower this year. 7th is the highest I will put them.

Edit: Nevermind, they're in the east...maybe they'll go higher

I say 4th or 5th seed. Winning the 1st round of the playoffs and then losing in the 2nd round.

A tad optimistic are we. I can't see us beating out Chicago or Cleveland. It'll be great if we can get the 5th seed over Indi though, because that would probably have us playing one of the two teams just mentioned, or New Jersey. We match up pretty well with Chicago and New Jersey, basically because they don't have a lowpost presence.

Cleveland would probobly have a slight advantage in a postseason series, but we definetly could win 4 of the 7. The only 2 teams I wouldn't be happy to play would be Detroit or Miami. Especially Miami. How many losses in a row, 16?
