No offense to you, but I've followed the Lakers for over thirty years (dates me, I know) and it's been a VERY long time since one could accuse their players of possessing the kinds of positive qualities that the Cats team has.

No offense, but the only thing the Cats have done is lose. Those young guys who meshed together, had to because they were young players with no place else to go who were afraid that if they defied Bernie, they would get cut and be out of the league.

with more time together bobcats can Do better and probably make playoffs.

But limited time is why bernie wants to S&T melvin ely as he mentioned he wants ely but ely isnt getting enough minutes and hes right.

Ely Can be bettter elsewhere.

Hopefully lakers show interest

The Nets should be calling Bernie and MJ every single day. They need a big man and Ely will come cheap. They can start him beside Kristic.

The Bobcats wants to run. That is Felton's game. He ran all the time at UNC.

Ely is better than what they currently have. Jason Collins, Cliff Robinson, please. They need a young big man like Ely. It's an upgrade.

The Charlotte Bobcats then sign Bonzi Wells and their lineup would look like this:

Charlotte Bobcats starting lineup:

PG - Brevin Knight

SG - Bonzi Wells

SF - Lamar Odom

PF - Emaka Okafor

CT - Primoz Brezec

Andrew Bynum, possibly, Adam Morrison, Raymond Felton, Sean May, and Ryan Hollins??? That's a heck of a youth movement for the Charlotte Bobcats.

Los Angeles Lakers starting lineup:

PG - Smush Parker

SG - Kobe Bryant

SF - Gerald Wallace

PF - Melvin Ely

CT - Kwame Brown

The Charlotte Bobcats have plenty of cap room to make it happen.

Why the Charlotte Bobcats would do this??? They have cap space and it's time for Mr. Bernie Bickerstaff to make some noise in the National Basketball Association. They would have a decent mix of veterans and youngsters to make some noise in the Eastern Conference. Andrew Bynum vs. Shaquille O'Neal??? Lamar Odom vs. Lebron James??? Eastern Conference matchups and games would finally center around the Charlotte Bobcats and they might get National Television broadcasts they need.

Why the Los Angeles Lakers would do this??? Gerald Wallace is the type of player the Los Angeles Lakers are looking for. He knows his role and won't be confused in this lineup. Melvin Ely provides so much hustle and tenacity to a position that is really vacant with the Los Angeles Lakers. Help wanted. Power Forward position for Rent. If you want that vacancy filled, Melvin Ely will fill that position, pay the rent on time, and won't be a nuisance to other tenants. Waive the application fee to move in and have fun with your new resident, Melvin Ely, become a model resident.

Jesus Christ what are you on? Except for Defense there is nothing that Wallace does better than Odom? Who the hell is going to be our second option on offense? (as if it wasn't bad enough already)

AND you want to throw in Andrew Bynum in there or give them cash considerations?

We need a shooter more badly. Ely can't make Kobe's job easier.
I can't wait till the season starts and teams try to double Kobe which will result in Radman punishing them all night with 3's. Radman is to Kobe what Kukoc was to Jordan.
