Exactly, Okafor is not comfortable coming out of the paint and guarding the perimeter PF's like Jamison, Bosh and KG.

Defensively he's better guarding the center closer to the paint and providing shotblocking.

OMG....why didn't the Bobcats take Curry? Take a chance on an offensive center. Knicks would have gladly taken Carroll back and Curry's contract is only 2 1/2 years, instead of Diops' 4 1/2 years.

Damn so basically just took on $10 mil on our salary cap over the next 5 years? That kind of sucks I guess, but I don't mind having Diop. We needed another shotblocker and he is different a Larry Brown type of player.

Curry is out of shape, and got injured in the 1 game he was able to play this year. Thats not the type of player we need here, we're already dealing with that type of guy in Sean May.

I actually like this deal. The Bobcats are really coming around. I think they should try to trade for Richard Hamilton, Michael Redd or Vince Carter. All three would be a good fit for this team. The Cats would probably have to trade both Wallace and Felton to get either though and it would probably have to be a multi-team deal.

MC goes to 2013 but his contract decreases every year which is nice.

I believe the Felton deal fell apart b/c DJ got hurt.

I think this deal is just a precursor to something else for Dallas.

if Carrol can find his 3 point shot again this will really help Dallas b/c they have become one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the L and they have lost several games b/c of it.

What does Diop do? Nothing. The Nets had no interest in resigning him. For some reason, Mavs felt compelled to give him huge money. Why? Isn't the Bobcats Nazr a superior player? (not by much, but still)

Diop has been horrible this year but prior to to that, he was a very good backup defensive center.

At least we got rid of his horrible contract but damn I hope our FO does more than just this. No way can we compete for a championship with this team.
