Beasley

off the bench, isn't better than

Anthony
Haslem
Marion
Wade
Chalmers

Beasley
Cook
Blount

Fry is not a center. He can't even defender. I rather wait till 2010. What we need at center is rebounding, defense, & a few blocked shots. That's not fry. Not even the one from futurama. I rather wait till 2010 & do it right. Pat has a plan, & i trust him. All we need to do is be patient & wait till 2010.

Banks is around 28. But that's besides the point. It was a joke. There is no way in hell that the Clipps do any of are trades. I was being a smart @$$.

i'm not a big fan of the deal either...

but that aside...it wouldnt work anyways cuz miami wouldnt have the roster spot(s) needed...

miami would have to release a player, thus changing the dynamic of the trade...not sure that'd make sense for miami...

( miami has 14 players on its roster as of right now, with all contracts guaranteed at this point....not sure why the trade machine didnt get that... )

Forget that Clipper trade. I want this one:

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/feature...4~14&te=&cash=

S. Marion + J. Anthony for C. Kaman + B. Davis

I mean with 10 wins half way through the season, they might as well just blow it up already, right?

If it's like that then give me D Howard, for Blount, & Banks.

call me crazy, but i'm not sure i'd do that deal ( even from the miami side.. ;) if at all, i think the clippers might package camby in a deal for cap-space.. )

kaman would be a nice addition, but i'm not sure about davis...baron next to d-wade...i don't know...davis hasn't been looking that sharp by himself either lately - and now playing second fiddle to wade ?

that deal would put us over the cap for the foreseeable future. means u'd be betting on that roster to be a contender for years to come.

as i said, kaman would be a nice addition - but betting on him and davis to put this team over the top...i for one dont think so....

Although Davis' shooting percentages are way down this season, he's been playing injured, and with many of his teammates injured, he's become the center of defensive attention.

I don't know about you... but this looks like a fairly young, yet playoff experienced roster that could contend for the next 4-5 years:

PG: Davis/Chalmers
SG: Wade/ Cook
SF: Jones/ Wright
PF: Beasley/ Haslem
C: Kaman/ ?

They'd have the offensive and defensive talent to compete with the best of them if everyone is healthy.

It hardly makes sense from a logic standpoint for the Clippers, but from a rebuilding aspect, it would make perfect sense, they dump their two of their large contracts for an expirer. and can rebuild for 2009+2010 being way under the cap.

With Beasley, & Kaman staring, you just threw are defense out the window.

What does that have to do with his defense?
Wade is a better weak side defender, but i would not like to see him gaurding anyone in the post.

He's no stellar defensive anchor, but he's definitely not a "bad" defender like your making it out to be. I've watched a couple Clippers games earlier on, and against other really competent big men (Bynum, Howard, Duncan, Big Al), he usually gets beaten, but against most of the NBAs Cs (Biedrins, Bogut types), he's the one doing the dominating.
