Some more good ones to add:

Raiders
Apocalypse Now
Hardboiled
The Killer
Great Escape
Star Wars movies (though I hate them)
Crouching Tiger
Casino Royale (best bond imo)

Without a doubt it's my favorite, and prolly shows up as #1 more lists than any other movie.

Maybe, but there's literally no way in hell you could argue Die Hard>T2

Now that statement might be more idiotic than mine.

I think T2 would beat it if we took a poll. But yeah Die Hard would/should make most top 5 lists when it comes to action flicks.

It's better than T2. T2 effects are antiquated. Definitely didn't hold up over time.

Do you mean Alien or Aliens. I'd say that Alien isn't an action movie but Aliens is nothing but action.

I can't wait for this.

It's idiotic that you think it's inarguable. Die Hard has held up way better than T2 and it came out 4-5 years before. First would be that it's not even original. Just took the same story as the first one. "Oh, but this time he HELPS them instead of tries to kill them."

True Lies & Face/Off aren't far behind Die Hard when it comes to action flicks.

That would be a start. You're not facilitating this thread very well.

Die Hard is rated 8.2 on IMDB
T2 is rated 8.4 on IMBD

Die Hard is rated 94% & 97% on RT
T2 is rated 100% & 95% on RT

The 2nd percentile is rated by the community.
I'd say they are very close, but I'd give T2 the edge.

Terminator & TDK is 1/2 on my list, followed by The Last Crusade.

Die hard has much better character development and action. There is great interaction between the protagonist and antagonist. Not a liquid robot that doesn't speak. Die Hard has great performances from the cop, limo driver, bruce, girl who plays his wife, the news reporter and alan rickman.

The effects have withstood the test of time, whereas T2 is starting to show it's age.
