Also, I think if you are gonna add two players together and make bird i would say he is essentially Dirk and Nash together. Offensively, i have no doubt that he would be among if not the best offensive players in the nba. He was just too smart and too skilled if not athletic not to be. Again I think defensively he would look horrendous though. The game is much more about Isos now and i guarantee you every team they play would go at him and he wouldnt be in the best frontcourt in nba history anymore. He would still be a HOFer but he would look slow and i dont think he would be quite as revered as he is.

In a league loaded with garbage isolation offense, Bird would make most teams in the league look like the Globetrotters after about 6 weeks playing together.

Bird was more athletic than Dirk, and I don't see the Diggler struggling out there.

Imagine Bird playing a team like the Pistons. Who can he guard that wouldnt score easily on him all game. He would still be a HOFer but he wouldn't be top 10 all time player.

Umm no.

Plus, Dirk is 7-1. You can stick him on centers and be fine. Bird was 6-9. He would need to guard either 3s or 4s both of which would embarass him. He would still be amazing offensively just as i said in the first post on this page.

He was not more athletic than Dirk. Remember Dirk does what Dirk does at a legit 7foot.

based solely on skill, Bird is no doubt the best ever. He didn't have the great athleticsism of MJ, but he was an awesome passer, rebounder, shooter, played the passing lanes perfectly, knew how to strip players in the post, had good shot selection and knew when to pass and defer to teammates, was clutch as hell. I could go on for days. There isn't a single skill-related thing he was not good at on the court. Even his defensive stance was great, he simply wasn't athletic enough to be a lock-down defender

Bird was 6-10 himself. Dude was WAY MORE fluid and coordinated than Dirk.

I would flat out guarantee that Bird would not be getting lit up by Tayshaun Prince or Rasheed Wallace.

Then we have to disagree, Bird could do nothing to bother either one's game. It would be like shooting in a gym by themselves. Plus bird would likely foul out guarding either one.
