Default Amaré is voted All-Star Game starter

NEW YORK - Suns star Amaré Stoudemire rallied to a personal victory this week, passing Denver's Carmelo Anthony in fan voting to earn his first start in an NBA All-Star Game.
Stoudemire edged Anthony for the second forward spot alongside San Antonio's Tim Duncan and Houston's Yao Ming in the Western Conference frontcourt for the Feb. 15 game in Phoenix. The official announcement of the All-Star starters will be at 5 tonight on TNT's pregame show.

Lets hope he gets traded somewhere in the West and dominates us starting Feb. 15. It's pretty obvious he and others have given up on Porter. Once he goes elsewhere, he will be back to being the Amare of old with improved passing while the Suns flounder in mediocrity for the next 5-6 years. Build around Shaq! Lets hope we can extend Nash another 4 or 5 years.

In all seriousness. Go Suns! F U Management!

It's only a matter of time before something big happens and the Suns management ends up with egg on there face for there handling of Amare and this team. I'm not excusing Amare slacking but it is understandable. He will go somewhere else where he is used properly, with pieces that fit around him and because of this, will show that he is the Amare of old with better passing and a lil bit better defense.

I do believe that Porter is absolute crap...but Amare is not exactly playing his best ball...

he is an amazing offensive talent...maybe the best cause he can shoot at a very high FG%.

but his defense is below par.

Dirk Nowitzki is a better defender.

Im not sure you want to keep nash 4-5 years....hes a defensive liability and he seems non-interested.

Shaq well suprisingly healthy...amazing till today...may not bring it all...but still puts up decent nos and still top 5 in the centers league at his age.

The suns need to Trade Amare for a couple of players...there is no way he sticks around if the suns keep floundering which they will...

no team is going to give the suns 2-3 players next year knowing amare will opt out.

Suns need to give up on this year...they are not going to win a title.

I've been following the Suns lately and I've no idea why Porter's interested in running the offense through Shaq. Shaq's supposedly making Amare better but that isn't happening. Sure, he's still unguardable, top 5 C in the league and all that but they should try to get Amare involved on the offensive end. Haven't seen much of the Nash-Amare pick and roll either. Amare clearly isn't motivated. I do blame him and Porter. Porter's coaching is subpar. Very questionable rotations and dumb plays. Plus, the team's transition D's pathetic. Shaq's too slow to get back. Nash isn't known for his D. So, they always end up giving a lotta fast break points.

If this goes on, Amare will definitely demand a trade. Perhaps, Dirk for Amare.

Horrible, and I wanted him in it too! but I have to wonder if this makes STAT feel like he is an all star and he can be one as long as he is putting up points. if he had been snubbed that might have been the fire under his ass to make him play out of his mind on both sides of the court.
