Default How good would the Lakers be if Vince Carter replaced Kobe Bryant?

Replace Kobe with Vince Carter on the Lakers. Do they win the championship this year? Lets face it, Kobe will never be as gifted as Vince but he has come close in recent years (2005-2006 season, MVP season). But if Vince played with as much intensity/heart as Kobe and played with great teammates like Gasol and Bynum and Odom and Fisher, Vince would give the Lakers 70+ wins this season and bring another championship to LA.

My question is, how much better are the Lakers if Vince replaces Kobe?

A. SO much better (70+ wins and NBA championship)
B. Much better (68 wins and NBA championship)
C. About the same (65 wins and NBA championship)

are you serious... if Vince replaces Kobe, there will be no championship. listen, i like carter.. he HAD the potential to go down as one of the best. he was blessed with talent but he never had the heart or work ethic kobe has...

Kobe didn't win againts the Celtics and Vince would not have done any better.

And if Kobe has the size and speed of LeBorn + the talent and skill he already has then the Lakers would go 82-0 and sweep everyone in the playoffs.

This is fun.

Ummm Kobe is the better player hands down. Carter plays with nowhere near the intensity or heart Kobe plays with. Kobe is head and shoulders above Vince. It's not right to even put the in the same category. The only players you can put in that same category are LBJ and Dwade and maybe Chris Paul.

Therefore...none of those answers E: Vince would be downgrade and the would win a lot less games without KOBE.

PS this coming from a Kobe hater....

The Lakers team is still solid outside of Kobe. Even with Vince, they'll probably still win 50-55 games, but they'd be out in the 2nd round instead of the Finals.

Vince Carter
23.8 ppg, 44.7% fg, 37.5% 3 pt FG, 5.5 rpg, 4.2 apg, 1.3 spg, 0.8 bpg, 2.4 tpg, 22.0 per

Playoffs

Kobe Bryant

Not sure, I think Kobe is a better fit for that team. They'd still be one of the 2-3 best teams in the West, but Kobe > VC...

This message is hidden because TmacsRockets is on your ignore list.

I'm going to go ahead and guess he says Vince would make the Lakers better. Extra points if he said Tmac would be better than both.

To answer the OP's question...D)none of the above. Do people seriously believe Vince Carter is better than Kobe? Maybe several years ago it was closer, but at this point Kobe>>>>>Carter
