For one thing, there aren`t many starting SG`s who are 6`4 or shorter, and certainly very few of those guys are as skinny as Orange Juice Mayonaisse.
OK, so for 6`4 and under starting (or starting calibre) SGs we`ve got:
- 6`4 Rashad McCants (who won`t be starting this year with the arrival of 6`8 Mike Miller)
- 6`3 (if that) Ben Gordon (defensive liability due to height, replaced by 6`5 Larry Hughes in starting lineup)
- 6`3 Monta Ellis (now at PG, assuming he recovers from his moped injury)
- 6`4 Dwyane Wade (or is he 6`5? Either way, he plays bigger)
- 6`4 Cuttino Mobley (may not even start with the arrival of 6`7 Ricky Davis. I don`t know **** about the Clippers)
- 6`2 Jason Terry (usually acts as a 6th man from what I`ve seen, behind 6`6 Jerry Stackhouse)
- 5`11/6`0 Allen Iverson (one of a kind, and ideally would be able to play point)
That`s all I can think of. And only
three of those guys are going to be starting at SG this season, and only AI is as thin as Mayo. So OJ is going to be significantly outsized every night.
Most NBA starting SGs are 6`6-6`7.
