It's a start. He should've gotten ejected to begin with. I don't want to say it, but I think the refs just called a regular flagrant because it was the Lakers.

I really hope he gets suspended a game for this, at least fined about $25,000.

I dont understand fines in professional sports. Bynum is making $2.7 mil this year. $25k is a bad day in the market for someone with a portfolio that size that Bynum's should be. Next year he's gonna make over $12 mil. Fines are a joke.

I know, but at least it's something. Maybe Stern will make the Lakers trade some cap space with the Cats. You know, give us 5 million dollars so we can get someone?

Hahaha I'm just out there tonight.

The best part of that was coach K portraying Henderson as the victim. Classic coach K. Right now it's a toss-up as to who I hate more, Bynum or Dook.

Wake Forest > Both

Having now seen the foul I think it's awfull and he should indeed be suspended a couple games. I don't think he meant to injure Wallace but he did intentionally foul him and probably meant to 'rough him up' or at least foul harder than many intentional fouls that you see with time running down in a game etc.

I can't think of a good legal example so this might seem a way out there comparison so please don't take the following literally and I'm not directly comparing this to what happened but.............

If someone intends to break into a house and steal things, but instead ends up waking the old lady who lives there in the middle of the night, and causing her to have a fatal heart attack, then it's not murder, but he would get a charge for burglary and something like man-slaughter. The important bit is just because he didn't mean to kill the women, doesn't mean by intentionally doing wrong he escapes punishment for the injury caused ASWELL as the lesser crime commited with intent i.e. burglary/foul.

Again let me make it clear I'm not in any way comparing, connecting the foul to crime or the fabricated example above but I hope the point I'm trying to make so late at night over here, is understood and taken as intended. Just because he didn't mean to injure him, by acting wrongly he did and must take the appropiate penalty. Crime involving driving recklessly or irresponsibly which in turn causes an even more serious effect would be a similar example.

Look at my avatar. What do you see? Is St. Andrew going for the ball? Is he in fact doing anything that can be considered a legitimate move in the game of basketball? The only outcome of a lateral move to the body, which is what he is clearly doing, is bodily harm. You can polish bull**** up, still smells the same.

Based on your avatar, it's lucky that Wallace didn't lose a kidney...or two

They have a thread on the Lakers fan board with updates on Bynum's injury. I posted "Karma's a b*tch, ain't it?" and it got deleted.

yes, it did get deleted. there is no reason to troll and be mean spirited. you can choose to believe what you want about bynum's foul on wallace, but it is very childish and unfortunate that you feel the need to act the way you do. trolling, rudeness and mean spirited posts will not be tolerated in the laker forum.

I just think it's ironic and yes "karmic". Nothing mean-spirited about it, just an observation of what I feel is a unique coincidence.

I thought the same thing when I heard about his injury. Lakers fans need to get rid of their "mightier-than-thou" attitude on their "precious" board.
