Jin is alive and was rescued by Rousseaux.

Sun has a gun and is gonna try to kill Ben.

Sawyer witnessed Aaron's birth.

With Jin being alive and being saved by a young Rousseau, it creates another whole timeline to follow, we now have Jack and them's timeline in the present, Lockes group whose time is constantly changing, and now Jin who is about 16 years prior to the plane crash.

well...
it really could be anyone, it could be the future of rest of the oceanic people that aren't with locke and them, it could be the Others, or some random people who haven't been introduced yet.

what i'm wondering about now are these nose bleeds, it hit charlotte first, followed by Miles, and now Juliet. it either is hitting them randomly or more likely we're going to be told later that Charlotte and Miles were born on the island or have had some prior contact with it...

Jack and them are actually in the future. The present is closer to the time they got saved and the explosion happened. Notice when Sawyer told the blonde girl that he saw Claire give birth to Aaron, she said that was a couple months ago, which means that 2 months from the birth is the actual present. Jin is in the same time period as Sawyer, Locke, etc which means they are pretty far in the past since the French lady is so young and her crew is still alive.

A guy on the message board on ABC.com posed an interesting question: What happened to the children that were kidnapped in season one and why haven't Locke, et al asked the others where they are?
