Default Spike Lee's comments on Lebron this morning

I don't know if anyone else saw this. I caught it quickly on ESPN but didn't have time to post it. Well first there was an argument about which MSG performance was better out of Kobe and Lebron between Skip, Stephen A. and some other guy. Skip and Stephen A. said that Kobe's was better because it was more fluent and more fun to watch.

Anyways, then later on sportscenter, they asked Spike Lee about what he thinks of Lebron to NY in 2010.. and he something to the effect of, "First off, Lebron isn't going to NJ, I know Jay-Z is his boy and all but that whole Lebron to NJ thing is dead. As for Lebron in NY, he's not going to come here just to be in NY and play with Joe Schmoe. He would only consider coming if they had a team in place with a serious chance to win a championship. Whether it be Wade, Amare, Bosh, whoever, he won't come just for the sake of being in NY."

and I agree with that notion, same thing I said. I think that if a team gets one of these big name players to join, then it'll be easier to get the others on board, but I don't think a player would leave his current team in hopes that another player would be signed as well. Then there's always the possibility that they end up in a Baron Davis type situation.

Don't bother posting in the thread if you're not going to give an opinion of whether you agree or disagree.

I doubt Spike Lee has any real insight. LeBron would be better of going to New Jersey than to New York. This team would look nice. A little bit of everything.

LeBron - Beast
Devin Harris- Attacking the paint beast.
Brook Lopez- Double/double beast.
Vince Carter- clutch beast.
Anderson- starting to make it rain behind the arc.

I'm sure a diehard Knicks fan who has had season tickets and has attended every game for DECADES has quite a bit of insight, especially since he's friends with Lebron....

I think he was more-so alluding to the fact that the Nets won't be moving to Brookyln in 2010 and Bron wouldn't have an interest in playing in NJ.

Brook could be LeBrons new Z( but better and younger)
Anderson will not be a starter... Yi showed great potential and promise before the injury

There is just something about Yi I don't like. Just doesn't gel with the team. He has a good game here and there ,but we could do better. If Anderson could stay consistent behind the arc and keep his rebounds(9,7,9 last 3 games) up I think we should trade Yi. I understand Yi brings in money ,but I would rather have wins.

lol at praising the comments of a virulent racist and anti semite. I'd just do/say the complete opposite of whatever that idiot has to say.

y'all honestly think Bron will leave Cleveland for the Big Apple? this reminds me of Kobe back in 07' maybe when he was tempting the idea of going to Chicago or even the LA Clippers.

I don't get what he's trying to say. LeBron won't go to New York unless a winning team is in place, but he just flat out will reject Jersey even if there will be talent like Devin and Brook there?
