Re: Amar'e Stoudemire?
Just adding my two cents in here as i look at the Nets roster and look around at other leagues rosters...I was watching the YES network last night and saw ROD Thorn make a comment about Stoudemire hinting that he was on the phone with Steve Kerr trying to make a deal...i think he was joking tho i dunno. Anyways, i saw the Nets-Spurs game and im happy with how the nets are playing, but there is something missing, i seriously think we need to get a strong SF. Ive been saying this from day 1. Now dont get me wrong i love the way Jarvis Hayes is playing right now, not a big fan of Hassel as of yet, but hayes would be a great backup to a star or semi star SF. I think, and i hope thorn is reading this...but i think that we need to focus on acquiring a Strong SF and a decent backup Guard. These are the players that i think should be on the trading block right now: Stromile Swift, Bobby Simmons, Sean Williams, Trenton Hassel, and Maurice Ager. From what im seeing so far from the nets. I like Hayes a hell of a lot better than simmons, and im trying to stick it out with Williams but im tired of waiting for him to develop.
Thorn should be in talks with the Bulls trying to get a Nocioni/Hughes package. The Warriors, trying to get a Cory Maggette package. Miami, trying to get a Shawn Marion or Beasley package. (thatll never happen tho) The Wizards, trying to get a Mike James/Caron Butler package. Or the Grizzlies trying to get an Hakim Warrick package (if we can move him to the 3)
Also heres a list of some guys i think we should be trying to get...(some already mentioned)
1. Roger Mason
2. Rodney Carney
3. Corey Maggette
4. Larry Hughes (only in a package deal)
5. Mike James (only in a package deal)
6. Andres Nocioni
7. Peja Stojacvich
8. Kevin Martin
9. Linas Kleiza
10. Shaun Livingston (package deal)
11. Amere Stoudemire
12. Marion or Beasley
I know i may be in fantasy land with this one, but it would be cool if we could get a decent package for the feb 19. deadline
