now with nash winning the mvp i feel as if thier team still was way better.... so he shouldnt of won it.. lets not forget this mvp voting is all fans favourites.... to me i think guys like elton brand...(who carried his team to the playoffs for the first time n how many yrs???) lol he had good numbers and their record wasnt even far off from the suns.... that guy deserved it...he was 2nd i think in block shots this yr.. averg. countless double doubles... 20+ppg....and he carried his team pas the first round... kobe is a valuble player but not the MOST..... scoring 81 points doesnt automatically make u a shew in for that award how ever it was very impressive.....
but this yr is going to be great... because u have kobe coming bac ever so strong..and the onli thing he hasnt won is a finals mvp and a seasons mvp... shaq super seeded him n those categories....and kobe wants it bad....
guys like lebron will make a strong impression d-wayde...ron artest ..his name will be in there and even mike bibby..... elton brand name will be up there...dirk... nash again.... and i want u guys to watch out for KG he has alot to prove so i kno he will make his team better..also yoa and mcgrady...all of these guys are strong candidates for the MVP...but my guess it will be either Kobe Ron nash again...and lebron.... all depending if they play the way they played later half of the season....

Scoring 81pts is not the reason why us lakedrs fans say he deserved the mvp..
The 81pts was just an extra argument..They guy carried the whole team( a bunch of no-names+ inconsistent Odom) to the 6th best record in the WEST.

Nash has a supporting cast that is way supeiror to that of bryant's/
They had the
MIP in boris Diaw( who by the way had 2 triple doubles when nash was injured).,
Marion ( a stat sheet filler who was considered by many to be a mvp candidate

Anyways its all about the media being biased..Why do i say that ? for the simple reason that many of the voters didnt have KOBE in the TOP 5 for MVP.
How flagrant is that?..the MVP award is a joke;if u browse the internet a bit ull find several articles having for a title: NASH MVP: the award is a joke.

I can see either Kobe or Tmac winning it. That's if both are healthy of course.

I just want Kobe to get 1.

This will be bull**** if he doesnt.

Does anyone here know of any hall of famers who have not won the MVP their whole career?

The MVP will be a perimeter player, since the rules favor guard play. Kobe, Lebron, Wade are my favorites right now. Guys like AI and Pierce would be in the picture, but their teams aren't good.

The most important point here is that the MVP has always been from a winning
team, I think no MVP player's team has won less than 50 games. If the
Lakers make this mark, Kobe has a real chance!!!

Here's my take aside from all the heroics that us Laker fans are so accustomed to seeing Kobe produce time in and time out it's still about the Freakin' media having their say, no doubt Kobe should have won it last here with the spectacular record breaking, scoring title, playoff led team season that he had (45-37 ?) but here's my theory on why I think Kobe didn't get it:

KA...BOOOOM!!! it's all about Kobe's legal problems that he had in the summer of 03' though it's been 3 fricken years now and 2 years since Kobe's name has been cleared it is still freshly in the minds of the hungry media hounds about Kobe's past eventhough Kobe has proven his innocence. Kobe has been making remarkable strides in repairing his immage with his positives outlooks outweighing his negatives and once again revitalized with his new Nike deals, Xbox covers, new commercial ads, Olympic usa team/surgery combined with the season Kobe had last year it's still all about how the media portrays Kobe to this point and based on the kind of season that Kobe had last year it has escalated Kobe to that MVP status and have put in the minds of the racist media hounds that Kobe's immage is back to respectability level and his MVP type performances on court has now overshadowed his past. Kobe is now overdue and the key is to get the Lakers to above the 50 win mark and continues to do the things he does in leading his team he will guarantee himself to be the MVP this year.
