What does everyone think of a Kapono for Desmond Mason (Expirer) deal?

http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...tradeId=ab3mwu

Or Kapono, Banks and our 1st for Mason and Joe Smith?

I don't think we could pull off a trade like that. Kapono has a terrible contract so we will never be able to get much for him. The Eric Snow idea could work if Cleveland needed a shooter which they might cause Kapono would defiantly open things up for Lebron.

Yeah but sometimes teams who want to make a championship run make rash decisions in a last ditch effort to improve their club. Hopefully we can make a trade in the next couple of days leading to the deadline. It would really help us this offseason if we got an expiring contract back.

I can't see OKC wanting Kapono. They have plenty of wiggle room financially the next couple years and I doubt they'd sacrifice that for a shooter off the bench.

Honestly, I feel bad for the team and for Kapono. The guy's an excellent shooter when he's got a hot hand and you can tell he wants to produce more to justify what he's getting paid, but he just doesn't have the game. He'd fit as a great role player on any team if he were making half of what he makes.

So true man.. if he made 4 million per year I probably wouldn't hate on him as much as I do.. He's not a BAD player or anything, he's just very one dimensional.. You said it best in classifying him as a good role player.. Nothing more.. Not even close to a good 6th man, never will be. Funny guy though.
