Hi I'm not a Raptors fan, but was just wondering. Years ago where I lived there were plenty of Raptors games coverage for some reason, and I remember one of the players out of the Raptors I liked was Mo-Pete. I've got a friend who's a Raptors fan and he's got nothing bad to say about him.
So just wondering, do you guys still wish Mo-pete was still with the Raptors?

He was a good role player and brought a lot of intangibles to the team. He was a really nice guy and played with heart, which was probably why all the fans liked the guy. He did tend to settle a lot for the 3 the past few years instead of slashing to the basket like he used to do. That's probably the only thing I didn't like about him. I wouldn't want to take back his contract for what he brings, maybe for the veterans min. when it expires in 3 years.

No, as he is pretty much done as a player. Great guy though, and someone i will always cheer for. He return game to Toronto was as classy gesture as I have seen. Quality person that always played hard for us....but like I said before he's just about done in the league due to age and injury.
I remember wanting to retain Mo Pete rather than Kapono in the 2006 offseason. Unfortunately as mentioned, he does not look to have much left and is currently buried in NO depth chart. Right now he is best suited as a second or third wing off the bench and Joey Graham could probably fill that role well anyway.
We sure could use prime mopete at the wing right now, current mopete wouldn't be much help, nice player to have on the bench if he didn't mind min. pay.
