If you don't play online you're wasting your money buying the game or an arcade stick. Don't worry about being a scrub... you'll improve.

That will always be true, but unfortunately that era's is in the past. Online play is the future. Either get on the bus or get left in the dust.

There'll always be tournaments (Evo & such) but eventually everything will be 100% online when it comes to fighters and other forms of online gaming. Just stop being so gawdamn old school and get with the program already.

Blanka's rolling attack is done by holding back for 2 seconds then press forward + punch.

I just unlocked Gouken last night and he's pretty good. It's kinda nice to see that they didn't make him to be a super shoto, but he has his own style.

I really liked how balanced the game is. However, I still can't beat E.Honda with Zangief.

Zangief's wake-up SPD is what you need to work on.

How do I combo to a SPD?

Also, i noticed that the fireball slap thing doesn't flow as easily to a SPD. I could do it automatically on SFHD (I prefer the F+HP headbutt to SPD ). Is it just me or could I start the motion for the SPD much earlier during the fireball slap?

SPD is great by itself, especially EX version, it doesn't really need real combos. The Green Slap is a good set-up move to get close enough to do SPD. Exploit its EX version. Or try a focus attack and connect to SPD.

EX SPD is so good it's just wrong.......

Zangief's SPD is just overkill. How much damage does it do in SFIV?

Also, the best way to counter his SPD is timing a special just right to get out of it.

For example, 'Gief jumps into you hits you with a jab-kick landing knee he's probably going to hit you with crouching jab + 2 until he motions to do his SPD, at that exact time do a DP with Ryu, Ken or Sagat for example. If you're using Guile, make sure you've charged your Flashkick long enough, etc.

had a chance to go to the SFIV launch party a couple weeks ago, and Capcom did it real big. cool to see all the effort they put into marketing this game has paid off (i think 2,000,000 shipped in the first week or so).

i'm loving it myself.

My buddy had the same problem with him. I think I mentioned it on my own review in page 1. He beat the crap out of almost everyone with ease, but Seth was a monster. Took him about an hour, 6 different characters before beating Seth with M. Bison.

At one point he even tried using Seth against Seth, but the human controlled Seth moves a lot slower than the CPU version.

comments about the game.

1. why are the endings so quick and pointless?, like c'mon now.
2.why isnt DeeJay in the game?, he was sick
3.ultras and specials with the flashkick movement... too hard to pull off.
4. they shoulda had the barrel and car busting bonus stages.

Glad I just rented this game. It's the same exact SF as I expected. No new game play, no new fighting system. I was hoping SF would push the envelop with SF:IV

The videos before the fights were pretty entertaining, otherwise it's recycled gaming.
