No way, dude. No group has ever had more than one person who has read Finnegans Wake.

I've tried to read it six times and each time I just broke into tears and went up to the first Lit grad student I could find like "YOU WANNA ARM WRESTLE??!"

I have probably read up to a third of this list, and I know the plots and characters of 3/4 through movies and/or word of mouth.
About half were required reading in school. Not terribly impressed with that list.

What do you think I meant?

A lot of stuff is up for inerpretation still. I've never talked to a professor about it (I don't take English).
