I disagree. You're giving 100 million to a guy that has really only had two good years (both contract years mind you). Not to mention the motivational problems in the past and turning 28 before the season starts. There is a reason a lot of teams didn't express interest aside from the high dollar amount.

Forget the fact the Redskins had a great defense last year and would be much better suited spending on offense.

Give me a great DT over a great CB anyday.

As for Haynesworth could be Stubblefield v2..... Sure Big Albert is a good player but 100 million is kind of alot... Could of signed 3 good players with his money right there....

since dan snyder became owner, NONE of the players he signed via free agency that were pro bowlers before they were on the redskins remained pro bowlers on the skins.

Does that really matter?
Armstead put up better production his 2 years here than his last year with the Giants.
Laveranues Coles wasn't a pro bowler for the Jets, but he was for us.
Marcus Washington wasn't a pro bowler for the Colts, but he was for us.
Randy Thomas should have made at least 1 PB.
Cornelius Griffin should have been a pro bowler for the '04 season.
Shawn Springs should have been a pro bowler for us at least once.
London Fletcher should have been a pro bowler this past season.
Why did you even bother listing Shaun Alexander? Everybody knew he wasn't close to the player he use to be when we signed him. A bunch of the players you listed weren't counted on to be pro bowl level players when we signed them. Brunell was well past his pro bowl years, but he still gave us 1 big year that involved a playoff win. We may not have had any kind of offense in that game, but it was still a win. Lloyd and Arch were pretty bad signings, but ARE and Carter weren't. Our FA signings aren't half as bad as the naysayers make out. Why don't some want to look at the positives?

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) -- A Tennessee man is suing Washington defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth for causing a car accident that left him needing a hip replacement, asking for $7.5 million in compensatory damages alone.

Attorney Jon Perry filed the lawsuit for Corey Edmonson on Friday in Williamson County Circuit Court. Perry said Monday they also are asking for punitive damages but will let jury decide what the Nashville man deserves.

Haynesworth was indicted in March by a grand jury on charges of reckless driving and having an expired registration for an incident Dec. 13. Haynesworth was driving a black Ferrari when he tried to pass Edmonson's car, which crashed into the concrete median on Interstate 65.

Haynesworth signed a seven-year, $100 million contract with the Redskins on Feb. 27.

Save some of that money Albert! You're going to be cutting a pretty hefty check.

Settle out of court for $1.5-$2mil.
