Default Was Tampa taking Evans a bad draft?

My buddy is convinced that Evans is a poor draft and TB should have taken Manziel.
I'm no expert but I see Evans as a great choice with Glennon already there. Did TB flop passing on Manziel?
Just need input to discuss with my buddy

Evans is a beast. He's actually a lot like Vincent Jackson. Big, very physical receiver with great hands and speed.

If the Browns had stayed at 4, he's one of the guys I wanted, along with Mack, Matthews and Watkins. I've heard some franchises had Evans rated ahead of Watkins.

Taking Manziel there would have been silly, especially since he ended up falling all the way down to 22. If they really wanted him, they could have moved back up into the middle of the round and snagged him. It's obvious TB didn't value him that highly.

I really don't understand the hate that Glennon seems to get from Tampa...he had a GREAT year for a rookie, and he has a solid arm

I never understood all the Manziel hype for that team

Evans is going to be a fckin beast WR...just like Vincent

Great speed? Evans barely creates any seperation.

I didn't say "great speed." I said "great hands and speed." I guess the way I worded it could have been perceived that way, but wasn't my intent.

He does have speed for his size, though. He ran a 4.53 at the combine, which is actually damn good for a guy 6-5, 230. And, I think he created enough big plays during his time in college to conclude he can create separation.

A lot of his plays were him jumping over guys or YAC. I prefer recievers with more natural reciever skills like Watkins and Beckham. Evans routes are very suspect. But with Jackson getting the number 1 corner and the doubles on the other side Evans will have a lot of chances to make plays.i gotta see it though cause I'm not a believer in him.

He's faster than you're giving him credit for.

Route-running is definitely a weak spot, but let's not act like the guy can't separate.

A pass that should be completed every single time. He had the DB clearly beaten on the play with several yards of separation.
