Default I Dunked It I Dunked It I Dunked It..i Dunked It!!!!!!

So I went up to the gym today and my and my buddy were just shootin around and then I asked him to go under the hoop and allyoop it to me so i could try to dunk it.. So I run up the first time and I got a bad jump and only my fingertips went past the rim. I tried a second time, same thing, a third, fourth and fifth and it was the same results.. So i take like a five minute break, I go and get some water then I come back and I told him I'll try it one more time..So I stood their and stared at the hoop and for some reason I just knew this one was gonna be the one.. I start running up to the hoop, my buddy allyoops it to me, I felt the ball in my hand and I saw my hand rise above the hoop and then I turned my hand, AND I DUNKED IT!!!

ahhh, probably one of the greatest accomplishments of my life..lol..

Nice....was this your first time dunking or an alley oop? I'm also in washington, what gym do you usually go to? for me its LA fitness or Pro Sports Club...

wow , congrats...
i can just dunk normally one foot one hand. Been having trouble with my ankles so its just coming....

how tall are you and how long and what vertical training do u exercise?

I go to the highschool thats around where I live they have a full weightlifting area and a basketball gym and its always open and free.

oh, and yeah this is my first tiem dunking period.. I can't get up their with the ball in my hand yet..I'm not sure if its a mental thing or having the ball in my hand actually affects my jump..

I'm only 5'10.5"..My vertical excersizes are..

In the mornings I do toe raisers, and then I go jogging, I also do a **** ton of squats without wieghts.

Then during the afternoon I go up to the gym and I do toe raisers with the weight, I also Do box squats and parrell squats. Then I go and to toe raisers on the steps.. I ussually do 15 on each step then go up a step.

Then at 7:00PM I go up to the gym and ball it up..

One thing I like to do, when going to just touch the rim is aim higher, I ussually aim for the center of the box and that ussually helps me get higher becuase I know i have to push harder to get up their..

Thats wierd cuz I rarely do alley oops but my first dunk was just a regular one hander off my left foot. Only later on did the alley-oops, two handers,tomahawks come.....

I way 135-140..

and I Parrellel Squat 10 reps of 245, 5 reps of 265, and I can max at 295

Box Squat I can max at 335

AT 5'10" that's really impressive bro.


I'm 6'3" and can barely dunk, but I don't workout a lot, just ball 4 days a week.

I could dunk when I was a Sophomore in HS (I'm 28 now), and I was probably more like 6'1".

oh and can you palm the ball?

I've never been able to palm the ball, so that makes it harder, especially in a game.

If I use a soccer or volleyball it makes it much easier.

Christ man, I weigh the same and about same height... and squat 135. I guess that gives me a good goal till I can dunk though... "265". Damn son...

Thankfully my squats bad enough that I can gain about 5-10 pounds a week.
