his first season was when houston had a losing season because everybody was injured and he received heavy minutes... he received heavy minutes his second season... he had his chances...

Rookie year he was All-Rookie 2nd Team and made it to the Rookie-Sophomore game. He came form a guard heavy year too. Soooo that helps my theory.

Useless signing by Miami, that's about the only place I would have seen Luther not being needed. They have Jones, Cook and Quinn of the bench already.

Sure there is. Same reason that Roger Mason didn't get much burn on the Wizards, Boris Diaw didn't get much burn on the Hawks, etc. It's not uncommon for fans to label a player as crappy as some sort of validation. They don't want to see the players succeed cause it would indicate their franchise made a mistake. Truth and reality is that it was just not a good fit for what their team was trying to achieve. If players work hard and keep trying to improve and get the right system, their ability shine. Luther has shown he has a place in this league and a good work ethic, he just needs the right system to fit him.

your statement was that imagine if t-mac was gone, how well luther will do... t-mac is always gone and luther had his chances in houston... remember there are practices, drills, workouts, etc.. behind the scenes.. luther had his chances in houston.

im not arguing that he will not succeed and that he cannot develop as a player. i am SIMPLY stating as i have said over and over, he had his chances... if he goes and develop into a solid player and have a solid career, that would be great, maybe he will find a system that will fit him right but that does not excuse his current major flaws...
