I'd like to see us pick up Rubio, but Griffin would be my second choice. If we don't win the lottery, I think we should either trade down or take James Harden, since most of the elite players are big men, which we've got seven of right now.
if we finish with the worst record are we gauranteed atleast a top 5 pick? honestly have never payed attention to the lottery cuz i always think it is rigged.

do you think they will keep the pick or use it as trade bait? I read somewhere someone said they should use the pick and Etan to trade for a player. which i think would be good since he is eating alot of our cap and we dont need to get younger we need to get more experienced.
I'd say it depends on Gilbert.
I mean, if he's healthy, would Rubio or Jennings be the way to go?
If Gilbert is playing 100% by the time the draft rolls around, I'd go with Blake Griffin.

Yeah i never really got the lottery. But i think that we should get Blake Griffin because he is just awesome
If they get one or two, take either Rubio or Griffin. If they get anything else, they should go for Harden. He's dangerous because he has excellent body control and can make tough lay-ups and excellent passes.

I'd say trade Jamison the pick and another player for Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudamire.
What the wizards need is a Dominant Big man...They have a Rebounding big man in Haywood and Mcgee...they need a scoring big man around the basket...Jamison shoots more than he makes plays around the basket...and he gives up alot of size to other PF's...
Also The leader has to be Gilbert...he needs to step up and lead...he cant say Jamison is leading us...hes the best player....its not football...this is basketball...lead by example.
So we ended up with the 5th pick. Who do you think we choose? ESPNs Chad Ford Mock draft he is saying the Wiz will take James Harden. Does anyone know anything about him?
I like him. He doesn't strike me as a star, but he's solid and well rounded with a high bball iq. Stylistically, Harden reminds me a bit of Pierce, Roy, or a more in control Manu. He's supposed to be a solid defender, too, which would make him an upgrade over Deshawn at the 2, I think, since he's so much more offensively talented.
In a way, I think that picking fifth could help us. We'd have chosen him with the third pick anyways, so at least now we don't have to pay him quite as much.
at 5th pick i say we take Arizona State SG James Harden. Although he doesn't wow us with athleticism, he is a lanky prolific scorer, who has good defensive ability and I think he could be put right in and start the season.
Off topic but I am new to this site and it says i cannot post threads....can some1 explain to me why

I think that you just need to have a certain number of posts. I didn't try to start my first thread until I'd commented maybe 75 times.
I like Harden a lot, but Derozan has been growing on me. Like, he's got a ton of upside, and he seemed to grow a lot last year, so maybe he's not quite as much of a project as he's made out to be.

I agree, Derozan does have a lot of upside, similar to Jrue Holiday, who is a great on-ball defender. yet i like Harden's natural scoring ability and he is a southpaw...that man has paul pierce potential
