Dahmer. It's f*cking sad that a kid actually escaped him, but got handed back to him by cops...
"May 27, 1991. Dahmer met Sinthasomphone, the brother of the boy who was sexually assaulted by Dahmer in 1988, outside of a shopping center and offered him money to return to Dahmer's apartment. Sinthasomphone posed for two photographs in his underwear before being drugged and experimented on by Dahmer. Attempting to create a "zombie", he drilled holes in Sinthasomphone's head and injected acid. After Dahmer left the apartment to get beer, Sinthasomphone escaped and began to wander the street, dazed, where he was spotted by two 18-year-old girls. The police were called, but Dahmer was able to convince them that Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old boyfriend, John Hmong, who had merely had too much to drink. The officers entered Dahmer's apartment, but only saw a tidy living room. Had they searched further, they would have found photographs of Dahmer's dismemberments and the body of Tony Hughes, which had been decomposing on Dahmer's bed for three days. Had they done a required background check on Dahmer, they would have discovered his extensive record. Instead, they left Sinthasomphone to be strangled. Dahmer likely had sex with the corpse before dismembering it, taking pictures, and keeping the skull. When the mother of one of the 18-year-old girls called police days later to point out that "John Hmong" looked like a boy who was now reported missing, an officer was never sent to investigate."

I think that happened after the cops brought him back.
You know what the sad thing is? Those cops were making jokes after they brought the boy back to Dahmer.
Jokes like:
- Looks like we reunited the lovers again or the queers have been reunited.
All I know is that those cops ended up getting the boot.
Seung-Hui Cho[3] (January 18, 1984 – April 16, 2007) was a South Korean student at Virginia Tech who committed mass murder of 32 people and wounded 25 others in the shooting rampage which has come to be known as the Virginia Tech massacre.
Police investigators found that Cho fired 170 shots during the killing spree.
He mailed a parcel containing a DVD to the New York headquarters of NBC News containing video clips, photographs and a manifesto explaining the reasons for his actions

I think one of those cops got his job back and eventually became a chief or sheriff or some sh!t like that. I can't remember exactly, but it was something along those lines.
I believe the philosophy that there is no such thing is evil. Evil is not something, evil is the lack of good. Serial killers to me seem like a prime example of that philosophy. They should be locked away forever, but you have to realize these people are so far from reality they can't help their sickness. They need to be locked up and studied.
I imagine that how normal people have morals and compassion, these people lack all of that. Dahmer is the weirdest one to me.
I'm a huge serial killer guy. I find this outliers of the human experience fascinating because they just make so little sense to anyone, even themselves.
I prefer organized to non-organized. So Ramirez is a little too "crazy" for my taste. I'm also fascinated by the communication stuff. So Zodiac has always been my favorite. I've visited a lot of the murder sites when I went to SF.
I've also read a ton of stuff on BTK, who's got a lot of similarities. I almost get the feeling that if the guy had access to internet porn, or grew up in NY, where his S&M fetishes could have worked themselves out, he'd have been fine. But his drives just conflicted with the culture he was in, and it seemed to cause a schism.
Jack the Ripper is pretty fascinating. There's so much written about him it's almost hard to sift through. Too many theories, too many facts that are too old and too manipulated at this point. There's a good book that sort of just gives the facts, but it's really dry.
Right now I'm about halfway through a book on a guy called the Monster of Florence. It's one of the more interesting ones I've read about in a while.

No.
People like these need to be taken out back and put in front of a firing squad the minute they're found guilty.
