Not to mention you're discounting the fact that Boston recently added Mikki Moore and Marbury so their earlier problems of no depth aren't going to rear their ugly head in the playoffs.

Well, just so you know, we ARENT done. We're still #1 in the east and boston is .5 games back. So all we gotta do is win the same amount of games as Boston + beat them on our home floor and we'll gain HCA throughout the EC playoffs, and with homecourt of course we're going to have success. So stop pretending like our season is over and look at the bright side: WE CAN STILL GAIN HCA. You're right, we didnt get the #1 seed by beating anyone, but right now WE ARE the #1 seed and we need to do whatever is possible to keep it.

Oh well, before those teams lost those players we had Z and West out for an extended period of time and we played pretty decently. We even beat Boston without Z. It all evens out.

Their lack of depth was a myth. Their frontcourt did just fine this season while being either the first a second seed the whole season. It must not of been that big of a problem.

Home court would be huge, but it certainly doesn't guarantee a victory. Everyone thought we were invincible after going 23-0 at home or whatever it ended up being, but that didn't stop the Lakers from beating us.

And again, yeah... we beat the Celtics at home, but they've gotten more depth since then. The bottom line is, we haven't shown we can step up for the big games. This is like the polar opposite of the Cavs team of two years ago that played down to sh*tty teams and stepped it up against good teams.

It doesn't "even out". We had Z AND West and got torched by them and they didn't have Z. What part of "the Celtics got better" don't you understand? They're better coached than we are as well.

Yeah, their front court did just fine, but Marbury adds more scoring and a solid point guard with the second unit and Terry Allen will be coming back eventually, giving them more depth in the back court than last year.

The fact that Powe and Glen Davis have gotten better all year, and really stepped it up when Garnett went down is not something I would choose to use as evidence why we can beat them. It should be a real cause for concern. Once Moore gets acclimated to their system, they're going to be better than last year.

The only thing they really lack is James Posey and he's one of the most overrated POS's to ever win a ring.

Getting the #1 seed isnt going to guarentee a win, but if we do get it odds are we're going to be very successful in the playoffs. The only team to beat us at home were the lakers, and we might not even face them in the playoffs.

This is exactly why I hate the mentality of most Cleveland sports fans.
It's always doom doom doom, the sky is falling (even when it's not), we're never going to win anything.

We have the NBA MVP, home court throughout the entire playoffs, and the team has all the confidence and camaraderie in the world.

They are focused, locked in. The goal wasn't get to the playoffs. Not get to the Eastern Conference Finals. Not get to the NBA Finals. The goal is to win the entire damn thing.

I would love to see Cleveland look at the bright side for once. But it won't happen until a team in this city finally wins something. Hopefully the Cavaliers do that this year.

You may not be active anymore, but in case you read this... let's drop some knowledge. I'd say you'd have to feel pretty stupid right about now. The Cavs have accomplished two playoff sweeps and boasted a 35-6 home record. The fact is that no matter what kind of an offense you play, as long as you have the talent to fill it up like the Cavs do... you don't have to run a play all game. That's a fact. It doesn't get more simple than that for a team. It doesn't matter if you have a team full of kids with no legs, and then one person who doesn't miss a shot. Guess what? They'll still win games, and the Cavs superiority complex isn't even that severe. They have a team with legs, and much more than that, they have role-players. Lebron is the superstar, Mo is the true guard, Delonte is the playmaker, Big Z is the postman, Verejao is the versatile big man, and a gang of sixth-men. They do run plays, and their offense isn't terrible. It could be better, but what they do works, and why try to tweak something that works? The truth is that Cleveland came to play this year, no matter the method.

P.S. James Posey was nice. The BUSTon Celtics may not be, but James Posey in his prime was nice.

Mike Brown has been exposed this season. He's incapable of making decisions against the tough teams... Orlando... LA Lakers... Boston Celtics (WITHOUT KG EVEN!) The Rockets.. every big team we've played, he's failed to make adjustments properly, and even more poignant, he's failed to make the players run their offense.

You can't run Lebron at a team for 35-40 minutes a night. You can't allow defenses to key on him all night long. Part of it is Lebron's inability to recognize what's going on and continue to force things instead of running the offense. But mostly that's because he's had poor teachers.

A post player wouldn't have fixed this. Another guy that could setup plays and create their own shots and handle the ball? That would have made us a better team.

Anyways, unless I see some changes out there, I say they're pretty much done. You can't expect Lebron to have nights like he did against Miami night in and night out to win ball games.

They have to play better team ball.

This is not me with an agenda. The evidence is all there.

EDIT: Oh, btw. You guys still think an offensive post player is more of an asset after watching Boston score 32 points in the paint in the first half last night with Wallace out of the lineup? You're out of your f*cking mind.

Mathius

Damn, Mathius called it perfectly.
