I'm not comfortable with Crawford because he's a selfish player and he's very shot-happy.

He's great when he's feeling it, but he's extremely streaky.

Still better than Parker?

He's streaky but he's not even that good when he's on the streak. Plus his good streaks are in very short 2 game periods. Pretty decent backup, terrible starter.

Ya I'm not cool with Parker dropping 24 one night and 0 the next as he did a couple weeks back. Crawford is an upgrade no question, but if it comes down to Marion or him I'll take Marion. If Marion walks because we've sucked with him then sure grab him.

Do you think it's because he relies too heavily on his jumper? His age? A combination of the two?

I find when his shot isn't dropping he either stops shooting or starts chucking fadeaways and goes 1/8 or so. Is 34 that old that he can't attack the basket every now and then when his jimmy is jinxed?

Parker's asked to do too much on the defensive end to be able to contribute regularly to the offense.

On pure skill alone, Crawford is a better player, no doubt about it.

Trying to build a competitive playoff team? I'd stick with Parker and try to upgrade other pieces.

You really think at Parker's age and talent level that he would be able to play consistently over an 82 game schedule as well as a playoff run (10-14 Games)?

I highly doubt it. I think he is one of the main reasons we aren't a playoff team this year. His lack of consistent production and inability to play tough defense in crunch time has hurt the team all season.

You make a good point, but I don't think the team improves with Crawford instead of Parker.

He gives us another option in the fourth at least. It doesn't hurt that he has a history of making clutch plays.

Yeah, Crawford may be a chucker but he knows how to make big shots....something that no one on this team can do.

There's not a single thing that Parker does better than Crawford. And he's considerably older too. The real question is not Parker or Crawford, but Crawford or Marion as its unlikely that we'll get either for the MLE. I lead towards Marion, although his arrival hasn't really changed all that much with this team.

It still seems to amaze me how we got "big name" players like Bosh, Bargani, Marion and Calerdon, yet teams like Indiana and Charlotte are ahead of us in the standings. What. the. ****.

The team is great on paper. Is it just a terrible mix of chemistry? What's the REAL problem with this team?
