Someone once told me that everyone is a little gay. That like everyone has a 2-3% default percentage of being gay. That some people are upwards of 12-15% but no more... and that the higher your gay % the more likely you are to become gay in the long haul.

So if Curry is like you say, 8% gay... and if he's already been through several dozen groupie chicken heads from being a tall basketball player, then maybe he's just looking to spice things up a bit, and he assumed a male limo driver would do the trick?

Hell I don't know I'm just talking out of my ass right about now, but one thing is for certain... NO ONE IS BORN GAY. You just be gay, you want to be gay... mother nature did not give you a pecker and make you gay.

This could be a long response, but I'll try to keep it short...

The media is generally liberal, whether they admit it or not. Support for homosexuals is a "liberal" issue. If you watch a news story about a homosexual rally (Prop 8 (or whatever that California issue was) for instance), the story always makes it seems that there are waaaayy more homosexuals out there than there really is. They automatically assume that the people at that rally are all gay, which in reality, the majority of people there may just be straight people voicing their support for gay rights. They'll always show the gay people in numbers, they'll interview the obviously gay people, and they'll make in seem, in their subtle ways, that the population is 10% gay when it really isn't.

As a fledgling journalist you must identify your own biases and overgeneralizations. I hope that you will develop personal insight and a mature mind so you put yourself above the sentiments stated above. When my granddaughter took her coursework in Media stereotypes she saw it as an opportunity to get to learn about oneself and to see how our own biases are then translated into our work as journalists and in the media in general.
So, let's stick to sports.

Come on OWL, since when have I ever had a point? Seriously, I couldn't care less about an athlete's sexuality. It's the other things one brings to a team that concern me.

OWL, the whole point of reporting is to provide a thorough, UNBIASED story to let the viewer/reader decided for him/herself as to what side they will take or what they will believe. Unfortunately, today's outlets have their own agendas with their own biases. When the time comes for me to do my reporting, will I always be neutral? I doubt it, but I swear on my life that I will always make an honest attempt to do so.
