Trying not to get too excited about a game that was against the worst team in the entire league, but Lakers have made a recent habit of playing down to the level of their competition (all too familiar theme for the Lakers this decade).
Nice game by the bench! Sasha was hitting shots, Farmar was playing a little smarter, a couple nice plays from Josh Powell (and he even caught a couple of passes before dropping a few). Shannon Brown stepped up huge, making some great athletic plays on the offensive and defensive side. Luke Walton is playing very nicely and even got a bunch of whistles in his favor tonite.
Definitely a step in a positive direction, and Lakers are going to have to take this momentum into the next game against the Nuggets, who are one of the hottest teams in the league right now... That game is going to be much tougher.

^^ its an interesting state of affairs for the lakers when we have to be excited about them actually blowing out a team that they should indeed blow out... ugh!
that being said, its nice to see them start peaking at the right time (i hope). the game against denver will be revealing and maybe bynum will get some minutes too.

I thought Luuuuke played an excellent floor game... sorta pulled the lakers outa the 1st quarter brain freeze they were in, sasha for the dunk and just being more like himself, but THE BENCH mostly... even farmar seemed to fight off getting mental after a mistake, brown was noice, even DJ was pretty nice.
Nice game. Even if it was VS the kings, I feel pretty decent about it.

I felt they weren't just playing their season out but really trying to beat LA. We just played like we're suppose to play and completely annihilated them inside. They started to get desperate from the perimeter and started jacking up 3 pointers to cut the lead quicker.
