Default Do you ever watch movies on TV that you have on DVD?

Am I the only moron that does this? Even my gf gives me shyt for it. Sometimes I'll just start watching a movie that comes on TV even though I have it on DVD. Of course, a lot of the time I'm doing other things at the same time like surfin the web or eating... but still.

I do it all the time, but all my movies are on my computer. It's more or less giving me the choice to channel surf between commercials, or if something is coming on a little later I can just switch between channels if I want.

I wouldn't really say you're watching the movie most of the time, just more or less occupying your boring ass time that you have.

Sure, for the same reasons stated.

They just happen to come on tv and at the time you just be like, "f*ck it, why not." You just get comfortable and sit there and watch it, really unplanned but why not watch it.

Besides....

I can't remember the last time I got up and watched a movie I own on DVD. Everytime I try to do so, I sit there for 30 minutes trying to decide what to watch.

I always just end up watching something stupid on tv anyway.

DVDs are mostly for visitors.

But luckily, I stopped buying every DVD that came out years ago. I only focus on tv shows and kids movies.

I'll buy the occasional special edition, but only if I really really dig the movie and the features are great.

The kids movies are explanatory. If I have some kid come over, I just put that on and it saves me from getting bugged every five minutes... "C'mon, lets go play *gets kicked* c'mon!!! lets go outside!!!"

I don't. I value my money well spent and change the channel.

I've been doing it for two months with The Godfather and it's near 24 hour rotation on spike and AMC. But it makes it easy to go in and out of, even if it does get chopped up on cable.

I do all the time. Some DVD's I haven't watched in a while and if It's on the tube, I'll watch it. What's the big deal? Just a waste of time.

So you see a movie on TV that you have on DVD, but you're supposed to shut the TV off and watch the DVD instead? That's stupid.
