Default Re: Al Pacino or Robert DeNiro?

They're both definitely two of my favourite actors but I prefer DeNiro.

I prefer Pacino, but DeNiro clearly has a lot more and more diverse great performances.

Question about Heat...

Am I the only person on Earth that feels like they did not film that movie together? They aren't even in any scenes together. Well, the editing makes you think that but watch it again and pay careful attention to the dinner scene and shootout scene. When you see one of thier faces, you'll see the back of the other guy's head. Never both thier faces on screen together. I don't know, maybe I'm just being a conspiracy theorist but I hate people naming that as a "huge" movie that they filmed together.

Imagine a movie with all 4 of them in it.

Won't comment on who's the best actor (have not seen enough of DeNiro and Pacino's 70's work), but as far as favorites:

DeNiro
Oldman
Pacino
Day-Lewis

although best performance IMO goes to Pacino in The Godfather I and II, followed by DeNiro in Deer Hunter.
Gary Oldman IMO is the best supporting actor of all time.
