Duke has told him there is no way they will let him play QB for him, but he had an "extensive" discussion with the coach about playing WR.

He won't be going to Michigan

Quote:
Sources indicated late Friday afternoon that the Michigan football program is no longer exploring the possibility of adding former Duke PG Greg Paulus to its fall roster.

I can see him flopping for the roughing the passer call already.

Looks like he might be playing at Cuse

Quote:
As the days progress, it appears less and less likely that Greg Paulus will become a Wolverine.

The former Duke basketball player is popping up everywhere but Ann Arbor in his search to find a place to potentially play football in his remaining year of college eligibility.

ESPN's Joe Schad states on his Facebook page that it's "likely" that Greg Paulus will attend Syracuse.

"Not done, just likely. Might be done this weekend. Likely a great homecoming story."

I believe Syracuse has also produced Donovan McNabb. I hate Greg Paulus but who knows what can happen?

You can't turn an unathletic pg into McNabb in one year of college football. And there have been a lot of non-McNabbs that have come out of that 'Cuse program. If he's lucky he'll be a decent starter but he's got a lot of rust to shake off. But at least he's going to NCAA instead of trying for the NFL. That was crazy talk. Maybe he can have a solid college season, then make an AFL team, learn the game at that level and then maybe, maybe try for NFL in 3 or 4 years. But the idea that he could be an NFL QB after four years of basketball at Duke was nuts to me.
