Default Michael Beasley...

Beasley has eventually earned more playing time and the starter spot and here's what he did in recent three games:

Apr.7 Against NOR: 25 Pts, 9 Reb, 2 Ast and shot 9-16 from the field(56.3%).
Apr.10 Against BOS: 23 Pts, 13 Reb, 2 Ast and shot 10-20 from the field(50%).
Apr.12 Against NYK: 28 Pts, 16 Reb, 1 Ast and shot 12-19 from the field(63.1%).

So Beasley has been averaging 25.3 ppg, 12.7 reb and shot 56.4% from the field since he earns more minutes in these games. Where are the haters?

Beasley would be in the running for ROY if he was given minutes like Rose and Mayo. Glad to see he's getting some starts.

#2, as expected

Beside from Joe Alexander and Danilo Gallinari; everyone in top 10 looks like a stud.

I have been trying to prove the statement "Retarded coaches can ruin the development of a young player", which is highly applicable in Beasley's case. The good thing for Beasley is that he's still young and it doesn't really matter if he simply wastes his first NBA season.

Beasley has been playing great lately. I hope he continues to get the minutes. Where have the majority of his points come from? Jumpshots or is he mixing it up inside?

Still is a lackluster defender at best. I love his offense though. Silky smooth.

Prove to me that he is a bad defender, I swear on my life Beasley does everything right on defense, he makes the right switches, he is hella good at challenging shots, and he is quick enough to guard some perimeter players, and strong enough to guard a few bigs. His biggest problem is challenging too much, he tries to at least defend every shot when he is around, and sometimes he picks up stupid fouls, but I swear dude is nowhere near a bad defender. I can say right now that I see much more defensive potential in Beasley than I see in say "Amare" and Amare is one of my favorites.

I've been saying all along that Beasley is a stud already and Riley didn't make the wrong choice with the second overall pick. Given that he still has lots of frame to fill in with muscles, he'll be hella good once his body gets there.

Agreed, he'd be a lock for ROY if he was given starter minutes. ****ing idiot Spo.

What's even more ridiculous is, Spo says he had no choice but Beasley due to lack of other options(injuries to Haslem and Moon), and at the same time he wasn't surprised by Beasley's production because he knew he would deliver when given minutes. So basically, Spo knew that he had a 20/10 machine in his team and kept sitting him on the bench until all the other options ran out?

jumpshots and dribble drives.....hes still not showing the post moves he had in college probably because he needs to get stronger.

Beasley in April - 20 pts, 8.5 rebs 34.5 mins on 55.1% shooting

We always knew this kid was a special talent and could put the ball in the basket but he's really been coming on strong in the last few games. Tonight (against the Knicks) he put up 28 and 16. All year long I've been saying that Udonis Haslem was a better player because he brought the intangibles he brings, but him getting hurt has really allowed Beasley to shine. Seeing that he's clearly the 2nd option on a Heat team that behind D Wade doesn't have many scorers, they can't put him back on the bench now can they?

Does he kind of remind anyone else of a big man version of JR Smith?

Funny how everyone was laughing at me when I said Beasley would average 20/10 if given the minutes.

edit- I also made a couple threads about Spoelstra's mismanagement of Beasley. Every Heat game I watch (until recently) it's painfully obvious Spoelstra's rotations are poor, and Beasley doesn't get enough minutes. I honeslty think if Beasley had played more mintes, the Heat would be the #4 seed out East.
