I liked Angels & Demons much more than the Da Vinci Code, so yes, I'll probably see it just because I read the book.

No, I already know that this movie is flawed in many ways... but it also has a few interesting points.

For example: "The best way hide something is to hide it in plain sight"

http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/180995...ideo/12209164/

(one minute film clip from the movie)

seems like bad marketing to put the "Da Vinci Code" on the poster...

I know it is the same author and character but due to just how awful that film was they should try an act like it just never happened...

This is defenatly a movie that I would never see at the theater...unless somehow it shocks everyone to death and gets amazing reviews or something...but I a betting that it will be forgotten about just 1 week after it comes out...

It is a fictional movie based off of a book...

how can it have "flaws" ?

Here is the official trailer^

I know that The Da Vinci Code sucked as a movie,

but this trailer makes this movie look good... real good.

If you read enough Dan Brown you know he just replaces certain nouns in his plots to create a new book. And in that clip... the Illuminati penetrated every powerful organization? really? Maybe if the world only consisted of Europe...

Maybe the film was awful to you I suppose, but it was major success along the lines of gross revenue and most people I know that watched it liked the storyline even though almost no one believes that's real. It cost $125 million dollars to make the movie. It grossed $758.2 million after its release. So to me, to advertise that movie on the poster doesn't seem like that bad of a marketing idea to me.

Well believe it or not, but the Bavarian Illuminati is in fact a real group. You can despute if they still exsist, but in this movie they say that the Illuminati is now the Vatican's enemy.

This is simply not true.

Although, I do remember reading about the Vatican (Roman Catholic Church) persecuting many of those that belong to the Knight's Templar. So maybe they could include this fact in the movie.

I haven't read the book, but it appears to focus on the FIFTH ELEMENT.

1. Fire
2. Water
3. Earth
4. Wind

5. Spirit

If we, humans, gain knowledge of the Spirit... then the human race in my opinion will basically evolve.

That's what many of the 2012 conspiracy crowds believe... Not the end of the world... but rather the human race evolves because they gain knowledge of spirit (the fifth element).

All I know is that I believe in Angels and Demons... and this movie looks pretty f'ing interesting.

I believe in evolution... but I also believe that you have a soul.

At some point in time God had to of put a soul in man. IMO.

yes...everyone went to see that including myself due to the ridiculous amount of hype and contoversy around it...

it was however received very badly:

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/da_vinci_code/

I almost walked out near the end...it was a really bad movie IMO...

money wise I suppose you could call it a hit...but I think that movie will always be viewed as a complete failure...

Angels & Demons was waaaay better than Da Vinci Code

Yet I still doubt that I will view this in the big movie box since they tend to mess up the novels when translated to film..

However Ewan McGregor being in it does entice...

The existence of a soul doesn't mean God has to exist. I think God is a man-made creation.
