At the moment I'm reading "City of Glass", part of the New York Trilogy by Paul Auster. Very enjoyable so far.

I randomly entered a thrift store with my wife yesterday. I immediately saw a section for books in the back, so I pushed her aside into a pile of clothing, and rant to the books. I expected to see a bunch of random old books. I was looking to find maybe one or two that would capture my attention. However, to my surprise they had a lot of books and large quantity of them were new, meaning released in the past years. Some of them were books that I would have boughten at regular prices. I ended up purchasing 10 books for 5 bucks. Two of those being books that I would have payed full price for. It was awesome to find them.. and now I have enough books for the next month..

Yeah. I'd get him the latest book for his birthday or father's day and he would stay up all night until he was done. Drove my mom crazy.

Just now I'm remembering how he would do crossword puzzles by answering all the "across" clues first and then filling in the "downs". No wonder I always felt inferior.

If you are wondering why im crying.. the cause of it is envy.

It really pisses me off to read that some people can finish books so quickly. With my inability to concentrate its a laborious task to focus on reading material. I have to push trough the haze and become determined to be able to read books.

I love reading so I have to keep pushing even when its difficult.

You're way too hard on yourself. You are probably the most prolific reader here.
