You probably don't like Truman Capote either.

I haven't read Ex Machina but I did blast through Y the Last Man all in one sitting. It was really good - I'd recommend it.

Lately I've been reading a lot of Octavia Butler. I'm big on sci-fi but somehow I'd never read her stuff before. I like her style - no flowery sentences. Real bare-bones prose...

I recommend Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talent. Really good take on what a post-apocalyptic USA might look like. I'm a sucker for that kind of story.

I also read Fledgling which is a vampire story. Pretty good but gets bogged down a bit in the second half.

Disappointing so far, too much of the book is spent giving an introduction into a basic history of science.

I recently finished "Seven Seconds or Less"... now I'm reading some basketball biographies... mainly I'm halfway through Rodman's first one (Bad As I wanna Be), which is very interesting btw. And I ordered his other ones off of Amazon for like a penny each.

After I finish those Rodman books, I've got two Kareem bio's and a Chamberlain bio to read.

Phantom nights by john farris. I was half way through the book but i stumbled upon the dan brown's newest book the lost symbol and bought it. Read a couple of pages just to get the feel of the story but it turns out to be a better page turner than the book i was initially reading. Both are very good thrillers however.
